Full job description

Top Grade Molds (TGM) designs and produces high quality plastic injection molds for some of the world’s leading industrial and thin wall packaging manufacturers. Located in Mississauga, Ontario, we exports to over 30 countries in the world and provide packaging solutions for many of the top industrial packaging and food packaging multi-national companies in the world.

With over 150 employees and growing, TGM is continually searching for top talent. TGM is currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated and experienced Injection Molding Process Technician for our Mississauga facility! The employee will be performing various job duties including but not limited to following:

Job description:

Accurate detailing and tolerance of mold components and Bill of Materials.
Mold testing of single and multi-cavity molds and stack molds
Processing new and refurbished molds to customer specifications
Trouble shooting during in house mold testing
Assembling and disassembling molds in the testing machine to troubleshoot
Assembling / disassembling and fitting of molds during slow periods
Measuring and dissecting tested parts to produce a Quality Assurance report (knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD an asset but training will be available)
Onsite customer assistance and in-house customer technical support and commissioning of molds
Lead Hand Duties entail running department efficiently and productively utilizing scheduling system and working with Management to meet deadlines. Training and upgrading department skills and knowledge base. Creating the Quality Assurance reports for all tested parts and reporting and discussing with customers

Other details:

Permanent, full-time position.
Salary range: Depends on experience
Working hours: 40 hours of work per week plus overtime availability.
Benefits: Extended health care, dental, RRSP, long term disability insurance and Profit sharing.

Qualifications:

Completion of high school or college diploma and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of Injection molding setup and processing experience.
Experience in mold testing and mold machine setup is required.
Experience with HUSKY machine is preferred.
Experience or Knowledge of Ms Office and AutoCAD preferred
Mechanical ability and understanding of engineering principles.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
Availability to work different shifts and weekends when required.
