Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting on a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and development within a reputable dealership or automotive service center.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and fluid replacements
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and assembly tasks
Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to accurately identify problems
Conduct safety inspections and ensure all work complies with industry standards and regulations
Assist with vehicle inspections, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing heavy lifting when necessary
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and ensuring customer satisfaction

Experience

Prior dealership experience is highly preferred but not mandatory; relevant mechanic experience is acceptable
Proficiency in automotive repair techniques including welding, assembly, and mechanical troubleshooting
Familiarity with schematics, maintenance procedures, and the use of hand tools and power tools
Experience working with vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics tools is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles for extended periods
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to ensure quality work and client satisfaction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$42.84 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
