POSTION SUMMARY:

MasTec Purnell Canada is currently looking for a Class 1 Lowbed/Winch Truck Driver to run Company’s truck with an immediate start date.

Preference will be given to candidates LOCAL to Grande Prairie and surrounding areas.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 3 years of experience in the following fields:

o Lowbedding excavators, side booms and dozers

o Winching sloops and shacks

o Stringing pipeline line pipe

o Load securement

o Permit requirements/knowledge for over dimension and overweight loads

o Hours of service and logbook entries as per government regulations

o Minor mechanical repairs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Purnell Canada’s 6 Core Value
Valid Class 1 driver’s license and current clean drivers abstract (5 years) is required
Valid Safety Tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSO)
Ability to identify and report hazards
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Effective attention to detail with strong degree of accuracy
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules
Ambitious, pro-active, high-energy, positive attitude and a team player
Strong time management skills
