Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Mobile Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing and repairing a variety of trucks and trailers, with a strong background in preventative maintenance and emergency roadside repairs. If you are independent, have excellent problem-solving skills, and are comfortable working in diverse environments, we want to hear from you.

Duties
-

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks and trailers at customer locations or on the roadside.
Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
Repair or replace malfunctioning parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and HVAC systems.
Conduct emergency roadside repairs to minimize downtime for vehicles.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Operate service vehicles and ensure they are stocked with necessary tools and parts.
Communicate with customers to provide updates on repairs and manage expectations.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing work.
Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards and technologies in truck and trailer maintenance.
Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.

Experience

At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a truck and trailer mechanic, with a focus on mobile repair services.
Strong knowledge of diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in commercial trucks and trailers.
Proven experience in performing preventative maintenance, emergency roadside repairs, and routine inspections.
Familiarity with using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to trucks and trailers.
Experience working with a variety of truck brands and models, as well as different types of trailers (e.g., flatbeds, reefers, tankers).
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides.
Experience managing and maintaining a service vehicle, including keeping it stocked with essential tools and parts.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or Class 5 (DL) and clean driving record are preferred.
