Cost Accountant / Purchasing Manager

We are seeking a results-driven Cost Accountant / Purchasing Manager to lead our Hospitality Procurement Operations and drive strategic, cost-effective purchasing initiatives. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end procurement process, build and maintain strong supplier relationships, and ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services. You will play a critical role in optimizing inventory levels, controlling costs, and supporting efficient business operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals
Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors
Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing requirements
Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations
Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
Manage supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as operations, finance, and logistics
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and inventory

Qualifications:

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Solid understanding of inventory management principles and best practices
Experience in industries such as hospitality an asset
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (considered an asset)
