Position Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Chilliwack

Escape Trailer is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and confident managing full-cycle accounting responsibilities while supporting month-end and year-end financial processes.

As a key member of the finance team, you will help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support overall business operations.

We are a customer focused company, and our trailers are manufactured from start to finish at our warehouses located in Chilliwack, BC.

Responsibilities:

Review transactional activity including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and journal entries for accuracy and completeness
Perform and own key balance sheet reconciliations including cash, AR, AP, inventory, and accruals
Ensure subledger-to-general ledger reconciliations are completed monthly
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and financial adjustments
Analyze variances against budget and forecast with clear commentary and recommendations
Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning
Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls
Maintain integrity and accuracy of financial data
Support audits and ensure documentation is audit-ready
Act as a key support resource to the Assistant Controller and leadership team

Your skills/experience:

CPA designation completed or in progress preffered
5+ years of accounting experience in senior or intermediate accounting role
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical., organizational , and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
