Inner City Diesel Ltd. (ICD) is excited to announce we are seeking a Journeyperson/Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician to support our needs on a client oil site!
This position is in located on a remote site with an attractive 14 day rotation, working 12 hour shifts, days and nights. This is a camp position that is fly in/fly out from Calgary or Edmonton Hub.
If you are local to Fort McMurray, you are still required to stay in camp the full rotation.

Responsibilities:
- Inspecting, diagnosing, and performing major and minor repair work on motors, pumps, hydraulic equipment, diesel engines, compressors, controls, valves, and other related equipment.
- Inspecting, adjusting, and replacing necessary equipment, units, and related parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work.
- Perform large component replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficiencies.
- Safely operate company provided equipment.
- Troubleshooting of engine, hydraulic, electrical, braking and powertrain systems.
- Inspecting, diagnosing, and performing major and minor repair work on diesel powered work boats and other related equipment
- Knowledge and experience operating all equipment for positioning and diagnosing purposes
Required Qualifications:
- Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician, Heavy Duty Mechanic, On-Road, or Commercial Transport
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with dewatering pumps
- Heavy duty after treatment experience
- Oilfield and/or mining experience
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.

Successful candidates must provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
- Comprehensive alcohol and drug test clearance letter
- Copy of valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Copy of current 3-year clean driver’s abstract
- Copies of training certificates

This includes, but is not limited to, following Safe Work practices and procedures, attending safety meetings and toolbox talks, understanding and navigating our digital safety application (SiteDocs), completing FLRA’s, using PPE, inspection of vehicles, tools, and equipment, and more.
