Forest Ridge Landscaping is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Recruitment Assistant to support our Human Resources team with talent acquisition and recruitment activities.Reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator, this role will play an important part in helping us attract, identify, and onboard great talent. The Recruitment Assistant will be responsible for supporting the hiring process, including prescreening candidates, conducting initial interviews, coordinating final-stage interviews, scheduling, and assisting with various HR initiatives as assigned.

Key Responsibilities :
Post job advertisements on job boards, company websites, indeed .
Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
Conduct initial phone screenings and schedule interviews with operations managers .
Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide timely updates.
Assist with pre-employment requirements, including reference checks, background checks, and verification of certifications and licenses.
Coordinate onboarding activities, including orientation scheduling and new hire documentation.
Ensure employee files are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and employment legislation.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and candidate information.
Assist with other Human Resources projects and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualification :
Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a diploma or degree program in Human Resources .
Knowledge of employment standards and recruitment best practices.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) .
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience recruiting for construction, landscaping, or other seasonal industries is an asset.
Preferred Skills :

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment.
Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Ability to build positive relationships with candidates and operations managers.
The base salary offered will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, while also considering internal equity.
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
Mount Albert, ON L0G 1M0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
