There was a lack of structure there both in upper management and the guys doing the work on the floor a disconnect you could call it. A lot of the time the people in the office were either "working" from home or in the plant in st albert which was somewhat nice because I didn't really want to see them. However this lead to inconsistencies in things being done properly or at all. You would try to get a meeting with someone like budget request project ect and get blown off by them (this happened a lot). Not everything was bad there was some nice people who worked there who were somehow not miserable and they were a pleasure to work with. The pay there is not competitive and it's a known problem a lot of turnover as a result. Also be prepared to train yourself to do your job there that's another thing that place is know for.

The president and CEO has been with the company for 26 years and is very traditional, gruff & set in his ways.
He is responsible for the last two admins leaving the company as well as the marketing support person. His mood dictates the vibe in the office, which is never great. Additionally he doesn't allow any remote work (when majority of the work could easily be remote). This is a very quiet, depressing place to work 

The biggest challenge to working at ABCRC is navigating the executive branch of the company. The president of the company is very old-school severely lacking in leader ship skills. As an employee I witnessed on a regular basis the president talking down to women in the facility to the point that they felt they needed to leave. The vice president makes unilateral decisions without discussing with any of the management team And rarely shows up for work a full day but has the expectations that all managers put in a full day

This job use to be a really good job. Long hours 8 hour days or more. But that's all changed since they moved shops back in March 2019. That all went down hill. Now it has no hours no over time about 4 to 6 hour days some 8. 

I would only recommended this for a student to get this job or a person who is just starting out in the real world.

When i was working there in 2014 to 2017 there were a lot of accidents the people i was working with were not following laws or rules was hard to work with so all i did was try to follow the rules it got so bad with the employees that they tried to attack me in a parking lot police were called i am sorry but did not have a good experience there but the pay was great hours were good mtheccompany even

Very poorly managed, union shop and the supervisors do not enforce rules equally, in the 5 years I was there we had 8 different supervisors, rules are rarely enforced on the senior employees, if an employee doesn’t understand a rule or process they’re allowed to fumble around at the job (forklifts too so be careful), all in all it pays good but there is something very wrong with abcrc.

I also appreciate the emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, which makes me proud to represent the company.

This is a company that invest a lot in human capital development. Though the Job can be physical at times, the wage and benefit package more than makes up for it.

A compnay that cares for thier staff and treat them with the respect they deserve they understand that a happy work enviroment encourages happy workers and happy workers make great productions stats
