Hired to do a job and with the tools and skills you were interviewed for and ended up at the bottom of a very deep dark hole. 
The abilities that shined on side of the building had the light snuffed out on the other side.
How do you go from helping a division meet requirements and attain positives to being disrespected and discounted?...Narcissistic management is how. Questioned on a skills that developed over multiple decades by management with a collection of cliche books in an office. Rebuked by nepotism and egos 
I think 1980 called and wants its hair do back.
Some great people to work with on the floor who genuinely do care about the work they do and were eager to help in anyway they could. 
The job was immensely frustrating with ZERO support offered and feedback is always what YOU must change. Really? LOL how did that turn out?
Met some fabulous contractors who did great work and were able to close ends internal resources couldn't muster the enthusiasm to begin to comprehend. 
When one door closes...It feels better 

Constantly short staffed, as there are are almost no reliable staff working there and most call in sick on a daily basis. A constant revolving door of workers quitting. HR, management and union representatives don't have a clear understanding of any policies - as they are constantly changing and not being posted or the changed informed to employees. You are almost always laid off, so you will very rarely receive a full weeks worth of pay; and when you do yet to work, you're underpaid and undervalued for what you do. They good workers are given them most trouble and the bad ones are the most protected. You're forced to do rotation shifts as well, with little to no training or communication from your supervisors.

Keep in mind i was only there on a placement from an employment agency. But i rather enjoyed my time at AGS automotive. The work was fun, tiring yes, but fun. The people i worked with were extremely kind to me to my memory. I would say the management was a little disorganized at time, especially regarding lateness. I was sometimes unnecessarily penalized and that was not enjoyable. I also didn't enjoy inhaling metal fumes with just a simple white mask while the other workers wore what basically amounted to gas masks. I also found it hard to hear in the workplace as i have a hearing disability, but besides these drawbacks all i have to say is "Thanks for the minimum wage paycheck and the fun times, but i think you have some things to work on guys"

A typical day at work was very instructive and exiting. I learned new ways to troubleshoot equipment, also how to program different devices. Management was always very nice to me and helped in any way they could. Most of my co-workers were very nice and taught me a lot of valuable lessons, some related to work others related to safety. The hardest part of my job was when several machines where down at the same time and having to run from one place to another to help troubleshoot and fix them. The most enjoyable part of my job was figuring out what the problem was and getting the machine to run.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Fair renumeration.  Newer staff were quite nice. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Resistant to change or any new perspective.  Hard to implement improvement if you have no say.  Some people nice but the toxic ones have the most impact on your day. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Steel stamping, so noisy and oily.  Culture issues felt insurmountable. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very meeting driven. Many extra hours.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing but a paycheck and close proximity to where I live.

The Management team, the outdated machinery and the people.

They full of nonsense and there is no culture and you become a modern day slave in a outdated facility.

Unless you're a yes person, it's miserable. The politics and the games they play...

Worked at the Windsor plant for 42 years no regrets good place to work!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Getting offload jobs setup to run in short amount of time!

Very good work enviroment was treated with respect

Doing setup for many years was no challenge for me!

Working at ags I met some decent people but other than that it's a garbage company to work for, all the supervisors except 1 have a bone to pick with you even if your getting your work done, unrealistic expectations for workers, if you some how get hired on permanently and get unionized you get a decent pay bump and benefits but ags only hires temps and fires them after a couple monthsso don't get your hopes up they are most likely using you for hard labour

I change date stamps, set up and run automatic presses regularly in an automotive plant. I enjoy the type of work and the people I work with as well as have good communication among other employees and management staff. I train new employees on jobs including quality assurance, hand eye coordination, and several skills required for production.

harassment is an every day event with no intervention from HR, numerous people have quit due to this issue; don't go if you are a woman
A typical day starts with  1 hour of screaming in a production meeting, culture is 'watch your back' nothing is discussed openly to improve the systems. If you kiss up you will get away with anything
