I worked there for about 2 years and its a job. Guys are good to work with but they have a crazy turn over rate. theres only about 3 guys that have been there for more than 2 years. Pay is alright, they'll start you off at $27/hr and maybe give you a dollar raise in 3 months but after that, dont even bother asking cuz they wont do it. No overtime at all until summer when they want you working almost everyday. Dusty and dirty environment. You have to be clean shaven all the time because you have to wear a half mask respirator there at all times when not in the equipment becuase of the gasses and dust. Management could be better and same with safety and they have the RRSP which is nice but other than that, management will slap a team lunch every one to two months for you and thats about it. Its only loaders that work there, all indoors and in tight spaces. If your a decent loader operator itll be a piece of cake working there, but know it can get very repetitive and boring because there is only 3-4 jobs that need to be done very day and night so once you have them mastered, theres nothing else to really look forward to in terms of moving up. All in all, if you want a decent paying job thats pretty easy to do and and dont care about feeling accomplished at the end of the day or moving up the ranks, then im sure itll be a good place for you.

Back biting work culture, immature supervisors who will throw you under the bus even if your work progress is excellent and show up for work every day they will talk bad about you behind your back and create a really bed image of you for no other reason then they feel insecure because you may be a better worker then they are. The work environment is toxic everyone is out to get the other because if they get you fired that’s one up for them. The environment is extremely unhealthy I’m talking about the chemicals in the air don’t let them tell you that as long as you keep your mask on you will be fine because believe me you won’t. They throw caution to the wind and management know, there is no safety culture, no LOTO program enforced and there is many many extreme reasons why safety protocols should be enforced. Management will lie to you especially about raising your pay. Stay clear of this place if you enjoy breathing properly and sleeping at night due to extreme stress 

Toxic management is almost equivalent to the toxic environment you have to work in their indoor compost facility. For operators, they don't maintain the air filter  systems for the loaders like they should, which is why you go home coughing black stuff and having boogers in your eyes everyday. This facility has major safety issues! They don't support their maintenence crew with manpower . The lead supervisor is the worst I've ever had after 17 years of working. Very disrespectful and has caused many employees to leave .They will string you along by saying they will give you a raise after your probation, but don't expect a raise after. If the city really knew what was going on their they would cut the contract.

I enjoyed my time working at AIM. The guys are all great and management seems to care about the team - they do a lot and the supervisors and HR were really good to me. The environment isn't the greatest but you get used to it. I liked that the schedule was consistent and never had to worry about being laid off or lack of work. Overall, probably my favorite job for operating equipmnent and good company to work for. I did miss being outside tho..

Team always willing to help each other.   Reading some of the negative comments posted are really just from entitled people who are not hard workers and just want a pay check.  The management team always willing to give and give and give; and strong supporters of personal and work life.  These negative comments would come from the same people at any company they would work.  Steady work and good pay is provided; just need to want to work like a professional and be a good person.   

The facility is running almost 20-22 hrs per day and is processing above it's designed capacity and maintaining production. The work of the operations and maintenance teams is what is keeping the process going and they work well together. The green cart trucks don't stop coming! It's easy to discuss ideas with the management team. On a semi-regular basis the management team cooks lunch/brings in lunch for all employees.

One of the most disappointing employers I've ever worked for in my life what a mistake this was. I mean it might work for some people but for me working in my green cart and a facility that was treated like it was a green card was extremely disappointing they bring kids on tour from schools and our city to this facility which scares the heck out of me as I'm sure something really bad is going to go down here.

Aim is a decent place to work, it can be repetitive - it's only loaders and skidsters in terms of equipmnent operation but there's  job security and good group of guys to work with. Never had issues with anyone, the safety guy wasn't great and wasn't liked but whatever, the other managers were good fort the most part. 
You have to be clean shaven which kinda sucks but money is more important. Nothing I haven't done before from rigging.

In a maintenance perspective this company fails big time!! Their safety is sub standard and it’s a get it done Wild West attitude. The job wasn’t hard but you have to ask about about lock outs and isolation of equipment. If you don’t mind potentially being injured or not going home at the end of the day then this job is for you. The substances you are exposed to are not defined and “ it’s ok” so your due diligence is a requirement. Don’t do anything unless you feel safe!! 

it is a good place to work with good coworkers, free coffee , clean lunch area, changing room, showers etc.,

it was a waste management place so have to expect bit dust etc., but with PPE provided  one doesnot hav to worry. free lunches, bbq, bonuses were additional plus points. nearby location to Stoney trail helped me a lot too.
 if work good u can learn and step to higher positions too.
