Auto Quote is a web-based application for Underwriters and Brokers wherein they provide insurance to the Individuals for Auto, Accident Insurance. This project consists of an interactive application with an ability to get online quote, bind an account, print new and renewal policies using different interfaces/database technology. The system also handles the broker commission for the brokerages for brokers and agents. 
• Responsible for testing the Integration of AutoQuote by understanding the existing process and the new process 
• Reviewed the architecture of the application and understood the requirements of the project 
• Created Test scenarios based on Functional requirements and provided them to the Business Analyst for Sign-off 
• Identified Test data based on Test scenarios and provided the data requirements to the DBA 
• Created Test cases in Quality Center test plan tab and mapped to requirements 
• Mapped the received test data to specific test cases for execution purpose 
• Performed Sanity testing by executing Sanity test cases on newly received application builds in QA environment 
• Provided build acceptance confirmation to the project members of successful Sanity testing 
• Executed all the test cases from Quality Center test lab to test the application by performing Functional, System, Integration, Navigation, Cross Browser, Smoke, End to End and UAT Testing 
• Performed Cross Browser testing on different browser to check the compatibility of the application with the browsers 
• Verified and validated the security features of the application by performing Penetration testing 
• Reported defects to development team with proper priorities and severities using defect tab of Quality Center 
• Performed Regression testing on the new build after defect fixes and code enhancements 
• Created defect reports and provided to the management 
• Provided daily planning and execution status reports to the QA Lead and QA Manager 
• Quick Test Professional 6.5, Quality Center 8.0, Java, J2ee, EJB, J2EE, Web Logic, Cognos Reports, HTML, XML, DHTML, UML, Oracle, SQL, UNIX, MS Office and Mainframes

AMA makes bad decision after bad decision. They seem to hike rates to the maximum allowed and then some if they can manage it. They have no empathy for the suffering they cause by making these changes and hurting a long time customer base and ruining their reputation. They keep choosing software that barely functions and this is now causing unreliable rating of their polices, and no way to know if the rates are correct. They have also started a bullying campaign to make employees leave so they can continue to brag they've never had to lay anyone off when times are tough. It is really sad to watch the demise of a once great company. They only way to save it now would be to get adequate management and new software that actually works, but I doubt that will ever happen.

I worked at five different locations and all I have to say is this job will give you different experiences based on location..  not good at all.. Management can go from super nice with a hands off type approach to complete and utter micromanaging styles and then there are the variety of coworkers.. some are very collaborative while others are self centered ones who are only trying to make their own commission. I made the mistake of assuming the offices would be the same when I left a bad one for a good one and then vice versa. I also filled in at other locations to help out which was ok but thankfully, temporary 

They were fine to work for until they had some financial trouble and started bullying and micromanaging people to make them quit, or just fired them without cause. They won't just lay people off because that would ruin their perfect record of never laying anyone off, so they used underhanded tactics instead. It was really awful watching them fire their top earners who had full credentials and years of excellent work under their belts. They only care about the bottom line.

I enjoy the culture at AMA, the staff and working with clients. I am a hybrid currently and work as a Advisor utilizing Personal lines and Commercial Skills.

Management is overall good. I enjoyed working with my co-workers and supervisor and I still have maintained relationship with some colleagues.

I worked with AMA 5 years as self contractor and 7-8 years via Sungard Comp, where I was hired at that time, when AMA decided to implement the P & C Application.

AMA employees have been very nice people and I have had very pleasant relationship with them.

You could not trust the company executives or managers. Very dishonest...overall a very toxic environment at the Contact Centre... the toxicity comes from the top down... you don't realize how toxic it really is until you work somewhere else

Love working in an office enviroment with other co-workers.
Everyone willing to help each other out.
Picking up the extra work when someone is absent or on vacation.

Helped clients review, change and make payment of their insurance policy, great job, horrible management, accuse you of things and refuse to provide proof that it happened
