Been with the company for over 10 years all within the accounting department.

Pros:
-	I work with a great team. They have always invested in my training and made sure I was well supported. It’s a great learning environment.
-	Annual teambuilding is done at both department level and company level. Really nice biweekly company lunches provided by their restaurant team.
-	A company culture that supports overall health and well-being.
-	Company rewards hard working employees and generally promotes from within

Cons:
-	Work can be fairly fast paced at times, and there can be significant volume of work depending on the time of year or when projects are completing. However, the company is receptive to adding team members so team members are not over-burdened in the long run


This upper management team have NO CLUE how to properly run a company. It’s all about ego. They ask for input then put you down for having opinion. They ask you to follow rules for which not a single person has developed a proper training program. Don’t speak up to HR, you’re done once you do. And don’t go against the regime or you’re also out.  Treating your staff like outcasts is no way to ensure success, but only to guarantee failure. Can’t seem to pay the bills on time, constantly worried if they could afford payroll. If you need a job, ANYWHERE else would be better. Save yourself the time and look for companies that foster a work culture and actual work-life balance. Run, run, run. 

Overall not a pleasant place to work. The people are really hard to get to know although some are nice. HR manager is terrible at her job. She is extremely unprofessional and a difficult person to interact with.
Salary is lower than competition. Small family owned company- that’s wants to be corporate. 
Upper management make you feel inadequate and don’t seem to know how to run the company in general. Lots of inefficiencies throughout all departments. Overworked. Not allowed to wear masks In the office during covid. 

One of the things that stood out to me about this company is that there are several people who have been working at Amacon for ten years or more. Almost all senior management have started from junior or intermediate positions and were able to work their way up the ladder. 

The pay is good, and they give annual bonuses and raises to people who meet or exceed goal expectations (e.g. In Sales, hitting a yearly sales target).

As a current employee, my experience with Amacon has been positive. I interact with various departments daily and find the people smart, helpful, with a drive to make the company better and more successful. The company takes care of its people, homeowners, tenants, and community. Amacon ensures all employee voices are heard to the benefit of employee wellness, growth and a healthy work environment. 

Ok place to work. Workplace culture is non-existent, alot of people are quite strange there and just keep to themselves. Management is good (do your job properly and they will treat you right), one or two people who should not be management but are.. Seemingly alot of slackers at work there too.

It is family owned business and they are all cool people, very nice family. Too bad the company is smallish and there are limited opportunities to advance.

Overall the working environment is difficult and the atmosphere was hard. Continuous rotation of personnel.  
typical day at work, will be filing invoices all day long, when you were trained, the attitude of the person training you was not very professional.
Management culture is complicated, as the main owners are family.

A small/medium sized company that gives you enough latitude to solve problems.
Has a huge amount of variety in the work as Amacon does so many different things within the construction and real estate space.
Pay is roughly average.

I’m currently employed with amacon and have been for over 10 years. I love this company as it feels like my 2nd family. The office culture is great and the company has lots of perks such as the great benefits, staff lunches, access to gym, etc. 

Overall so-so experience, people are quiet but you can tell there’s drama going on.

Nice office good location 

Cons:
HR manager is hard to work with and doesn’t know what she’s doing
Feels excluded from the team, company culture needs to improve
Weird vibe
