Everyone knows the drill according to the department. Especially machining department with different machines the responsibility vary! Certain machines you never get the time to pause, because extra duty (work) is added, which requires Manual Hand dexterity with lots of repetitive tasks beyond your shift end! You are burnt by the time you go home & good luck if you are commuting far. The machines are old, programs are pre-set with minor editing as needed to control products quality. Speaking of Quality, machinists are working with pretty liberal tolerance of .015" to .02". Lots of aluminum dust due to hand grinding of raw stock for machining. Manually you've to cut the Aluminum Bars on old saw & then grind off sharp edges as the machining is being done, at the same time press the bearings in the plates, deburr the parts, clean up the oil leaks & remove the cuttings from the machines since it fills up quickly! Also, load the pallets for next load & keep ready. It is lots of manual work in this day of cutting edge-technology!

Negligent management ruined it for everyone. Low team moral. Day to day work was fine but eventually got frustrating. Didn't feel appreciated. Team lead was lying constantly to everyone and spread rumors, basic lack of experience and respect. Quit talking behind peoples back dude. Other then that co-workers were a great bunch of guys. Management needs to get it together, its not all about the bottom line. Start caring about your guys.

Guys are walking around with 2 weeks notices in their pockets just waiting to be spoken rudely to or disrespected one more time to walk out or hand it in. The whole crew other then 2 guys the last I heard were actively and desperately looking for work elsewhere. Stay away from this place they don't appreciate hard work. Any place can hire a good worker but few, especially this place, can keep them.

Worst part is I'm not even exaggerating, this could of been much longer actually...

Amarr "Where hope goes to die"

A typical day with this organisation is very engaging and consist of accounting issues, prepararation and submition of reports to corporate ofice in Sweden, meeting with the presisdent and other management staff and intigrally involved with problem solving. I manage staff of 5. The hardest or challenging part of the job is problem solving with a team of managers with conflicting prorities. The most enjoyable part of the job is the relaxed working environment.

I Really enjoyed my time with Amarr Entrematic , and all the customers we grew to know over the duration of time in the Western Canada marketplace. 
   The position was very rewarding and offered many challenging experiences with all facets of business Management ; from being a ground level new start up to a prosperous competitive force within our targeted market place. 
The hardest part of the job was having to say goodbye due to the company expansion and my position transitioning to another region and the need to relocate a new home.

one of my biggest tasks is checking in on my staff and assessing progress on various projects. I like to meet first thing on Mondays to discuss our priorities for the week, then meet again in the middle of the week to check progress, and once at the end of the week to discuss goal setting for the next week. I make sure all tasks are completed and I've sent all the necessary communications via email and in person. Finally, I create a list of priorities for next week.

This company is very horribly managed. Upper management and in house management are far more concerned with their personal goals and views, then with their staff. Which is quite heartbreaking as once, the staff (and customers!) at westgate was like a family.

* I worked there for a short time through a temp agency* It was long enough for me to tell it’s not a place(warehouse) you want to spend a lot of time doing, besides, they should be paying more imo.

Could have been a nice place to work, but was not allowed to fit in, rude and ignorant, and personal info was spread about the office. Very hurtful. It’s not an admin job other than answering phones, all sales. Nepotism should be addressed. 

i answer phone and put in customer orders. i work hard to maintain accuracy and secure a high level of customer service.I enjoy working with the customer on a daily basis

Good management, not so good work environment, hot and some co-workers do not pull their own weight so you end up doing majority of the work which does not match up to wage.
