You would come in, grind calls all day with no respect to the clients' or your language strengths, get sick from all the germs on the headsets that never got cleaned, and give every client the run-around because you were expected to take aas many calls as possible, instead of actually resolving anyone's issues.
The only real times you could complete any client requests were during overtime, where you could assert yourself and say that since you were dong overtime you deserved the right to pick your work (passive employees can't stand up for themselves) or during your breaks.
At any point, if I took a few minutes to properly document a call, prepare a client's document or submit a client's request, I would recieve a call from management, telling me to stop what I was doing and get back on the call queue.
The work environment itself was alright but almost every client was understandably upset since rather than waiting on hold for 5 minutes longer, we answered their calls as quickly as possible but never had a chance to resolve their issues.
Would not recommend working here if you care about the quality of your work.


Working at ASEQ/StudentCare was a great learning experience in customer service and insurance. The job involved handling a high volume of student inquiries through phone, email, and chat, helping them understand their insurance coverage and guiding them through claims. .

However, there were challenges, like not always having immediate access to all the information needed to help students efficiently. Sometimes, delays in getting answers from other departments led to frustration for both students and agents.   Delay in timelines, never know when the student coverage will actually be active or when they’ll receive their refund.The fast-paced environment also meant handling multiple inquiries quickly, which could make it hard to give in-depth responses in one go. The work loads makes you sometimes  feel like a robot and is unrealistic if you want the job to be done well

Overall, it was a valuable experience that helped develop strong problem-solving and communication skills.


This position provided a lot of client interaction experience. It allowed for autonomy and integration within the student community. Job duties were not very difficult, and on the job learning was both common and sufficient. Most enjoyable part was the freedom and responsibility given to us, it allowed me to build confidence in my abilities and learn to manage myself and others.

I love the staff here!  Got along great with everyone.  The management on the other hand is very cold, and seemingly bothered by any question that comes their way.

Make empty promises (was promised a raise I never received)

Apart from that, amazing staff, great environment, beautiful office.

super disorganized  
they intentionally mess up every pay and when you ask them to fix it, its a huge ordeal and takes them forever

only good thing is location was easy to get too.

A lot of calls and complain no supervisor will take the calls, Be prepare. You have to read customer  contract with the website… Since clients won’t read it. 

It was a job for what I needed at the time. It was not the worst place to work, but the management wasn't very organized and I was left to my figure out my work on numerous occasions.

This place is crazy while I was working there I found out that we are not helping the student at all, this place is lacking of organization and leadership.

No room for real growth. Great casual , part time or student position. Opportunity to travel across Canada, and grow from junior (phone only) to senior agent.

Interesting job. Implemented efficient data classification techniques.
