Very busy traffic.

I learned how to control traffic and people in very busy rush hours.

To be honest, management is very poor because they don't provide us radio phone, which makes our work very difficult because there is confusion between co-workers. They also don't give and fixed break times. The have no shelter, therefore standing outside in the street for 9 hours is very cold. 

Co-workers are not bad, but I would't say they are great either. 

Hardest part of the job is standing in cold weather and running from one intersection to another intersection because they have just 2-3 traffic controller, but they have 4 different gates.

Most enjoyable part of the job is when you are done for the day and you leave home.

They don't care about you. Leave you on site alone with no working equipment. They charge you $250.00 for uniforms they don't even give you. Employees had no pants or jackets. Everyone working for them is either wierd, crazy or disgruntled. They do no background checks on employees and leave you all night alone with some people who should really be locked up in a psych ward. They expect you to sit outside all night in the freezing cold with no company hat or coat .No working walkie talkies, no flashlight and no working phone.They do not even give you a vehicle or trailer to sit in. You could likely die of frost bite by morning. All for minimum wage. By the time you pay for the useless union, who does not call you back, your uniform and your so called "benefits" You can expect to walk away with very little pay. It's a joke. Run, don't walk away from this company.

Everyday going into work wasn't a struggle as the sites are always close to subway or TTC in general. Typical there was a lot of access control required by the clients and if needed sometimes a assistance for traffic control. My first manager I can truly say wasn't the best as he was rude on his approach about anything, but after sometime another manager came along and make working enjoyable again. The hardest park of the job wasn't any I can say because everything about going to work was great. But the most enjoyable part of my job was when I was transferring to another site as requested the client themselves took me out for lunch with them once my shift was completed.

I have worked for a number of security companies and this is the shadiest place to date. They take ridiculous deductions like initiation fees, union dues and ongoing uniform costs. The pay rate they say they will give you is not honored and you’re shocked when you lay eyes on your pay stub. The job site had health hazards and was dirty/unsanitary. I’ve never been lied to or cheated like I was at this failing business. They have holes in their pockets and instead of being grateful to have someone to work for them for such a low wage while they sit around at the office, they choose to gouge you to try and make up for their losses. Do yourself a favour and skip this terrible company.

The company is good in terms of providing enough working hours. They have a wide variety of clients with different needs and working hour requirements. They accept applications for varying experiences and freshers has high possibility to get hired but the condition is that you have to provide full time availability to them. If you can manage that, as an international student, this can be a great company to start career in canada as a security guard.  I got hired here in my academic break and now I am getting shifts as per my requirements. It helped me a lot to pay my tuition fee.

A typical day at work would include :
logging / releasing parcels for & to the residents. filling service orders, vacation leave information & FOB activations for the residents. Carrying out tasks by management personal for upcoming maintenance & other general work. The most hardest part of the job is to satisfy the need of the client sometimes But the most enjoyable part of the job is to find a solution to an issue brought up by the resident or management personal.

The management team is fun and enthusiastic,  but between the long shifts and 24/7 on call and having to leave in the middle of the night for nonsense and being heavily undercompensated it's not worth the stress and responsibility. Way to much on your plate for the terrible salary and if you take time off they cut your salary.

Worked at ASG for about a 1 1/2. It was not a very good place to work. New Employees were charged for Coats, Shirts, pants, etc. Before you work a shift you owe them $400.00 ???? Alot of people they hire from Toronto areas use their Security job as a place to sleep on Weekends. They also have a union that takes union dues. Place stinksstinks.Management was very poor to say the very least.

the longest employed employee there is the owner, employees in every department change as much as one would change socks.
They pay every employee different doesn't matter the job title so if you are good with words you'll get paid more. 
Other supervisors use to try and drop work loads off on me cause they'd secretly be at home. No accountability.

Terrible experience.  Misled and poor treatment.

Owners are confrontational and unreasonable

Very aggressive towards performance.  Not supporting
