Management does not care about the employees. They don't want to provide any training. Toxic environment and ill-mannered colleagues. Some managers are so stupid they could not take decisions. They rely on what other people said. Some managers do nothing and wasting time in the office by gossiping and doing politics. There is a group of mangers' pets. They also do nothing and when some issue came up they like to blame other hard working colleagues.
If you are old and not have any education but you know how to do asskissing they will hire you for sure.
Stressful life- they will make sure you will be stressed out either by putting more workload or humiliating you in front of everyone, office politics is high as they love gossip, poor pay, always treating employees to fire them, no growth opportunities.

Company is okay to work for, but you will eventually realize that management only pretends to care for your wellbeing.
Culture is toxic. Very clicky, employees often screaming at each other. Everyone is miserable. Several exiting employees have written complaints to HR about wh manager...
Current management is a nightmare. God only how's how they retain their position. No credentials or ability to carry out duties. Treats employees like pawns to be used rather than people. Lots of favouritism.

Pay is ok. Better than most in industry, but far less than required to maintain quality of life with current cost of living. Benefits package is actually quite good.
Raises are a bit of a joke. Typically 2-3% even though company raises their prices 8% and has record breaking sales during COVID.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Wonderful people to work with, and excellent leadership.  I enjoyed the seven years working there.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I chose to work some long hours during my time with the company, but I would do it all over again if given the opportunity to do so. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment was mostly enjoyable and coworkers were excellent to associate with.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day included coworker interaction,  including meetings to discuss any needed changes or adjustments.

- typical day - answering phones, emailing, faxing, matching up accounts payable, sorting mail, filing, booking hotels, setting up stock deliveries with couriers, data entry 
- I learned accounts payable processing - how to set up deliveries on the phone and on the computer - how to work with new computer soft ware systems 
- management was very helpful
- co-workers were great
- hardest part of the job was learning all different co. names that we did business with
- most enjoyable part of the job was the people I worked with

I’ve learned a lot working here and I take pride in the work I’ve done. However, I’ve experienced situations where communication and respect were lacking—especially when feedback was given publicly without first understanding the full picture. At times, the management approach has felt rushed and reactive, which can make it difficult to have open, productive conversations. I believe the company would benefit from stronger leadership and a more supportive work culture where employees feel heard and valued.

Hiring an experienced manager and a full time sales person may have put this company on the right track. But Assa Abloys way is to make money first then hire the right people. Also training and support is is very scarce.

Mgt sweeps serious employee issues under the rug hoping that the higher ups don’t find out. Stay away!!!! Worst work experience ever. Employee are afraid to speak up for fear of retribution. They don’t treat employees well and have created a them (mgt) versus us environment. Everyone is afraid of the HR Director. Shouldn’t they be approachable? Very fake and not supprtive

Aggression all around the workplace, and no one seems to respect anyone unless a favor is being done. Anger is banter in this faculty and its toxic. Everyone likes to point fingers and always shuns every new worker there. There had been an meeting regarding harassment whilst still continuing to happen RIGHT after the meeting was finished. Terrible company to work at.

ASSA ABLOY was in the early days of it's feverish acquisition phase, and Mul-T-Lock Canada operated much like a small company.

We worked hard, were profitable, and it was with a sense of pride that I came to work each day.

Sales Manager is very knowledgeable about products and services offered however, could use improvement in managing staffing.  More standardization required in training and bringing new hires up to speed, especially those not familiar with industry
