the work was fine,just that certain individuals were quite bias.i learned you cant please everyone nomatter how hard you try.management would not listen to my defence for comments made against my work when it was clear certain persons had no idea of doing my job.hardest part was not  being able to stick up for my self.most enjoyable was the compliments on meals etc.who respected what i was doing

Management treats Employees more like indentured servants and not actual employees. However the employees are respected and treated well by the owners. Why Management can't take the lead from the owners I do not know.
The Crews though for the most part are good they seem more interested in their bonus money rather than the job at hand.

I have not had any bad experiences with the company. Limited insight into workplace culture due to my internship position. Most enjoyable part of the job is working on equipment, especially engines. Hardest part of the job is spending all your off-hours time still sitting on the boat.

This company is a good place to get a job out of school. You are able to get sea time right away to begin moving up the ranks in your career. Atlantic towing is unstable to work for currently due to the price of oil and the economy. They have laid off employees to try to balance budgets for the current year like most oil and gas related companies.

I enjoyed the work experience i recieved from this position, we maintained the ship and repaired the deck equipment. The biggest deterent from this job is going to be the harsh weather we endured during the time at sea. The comradery was great and I believe anyone that appliies will enjoy this job.

I have work for Atlantic Towing 27 years, on all divisions: offshore, coastal
and harbour.
I liked the challenge , the crews I have been part on, job security. 
I have always felt as part of an important company.
I would recommend employments with ATLtd to anyone

Excellent place to begin your career; as part of the JDI group, the company has well-implemented policies and procedures, opportunities to move on in the group and a very nice environment.

I overall appreciated the 6 year I've been there. Acceptable salary.
Friendly environment,  
Lack of communication. Disorganised and overload of paperwork.
