Good working experience overall. Unstable management and brain drain. Turnover rate is high, perhaps partly due to the remote location. There is a disparity in salaries because of a lot of expatriates are brought, paid insanely high salaries despite no Canadian education or experience while Canadian, more educated and experienced staff, including managers, get dismal pays. Bunch of promoted leaders have no aptitude for business other than domain knowledge they constantly boast of. People sticking only because of fat salaries. Machinery is poorly taken care of. There are some exceptional Managers though.

Management sucked & were always on the phone trying to make you do something.

Terrace Bay is a scenic & beautiful place to live in, people are nice & friendly. Lots of activities can be done, from fishing, boating, trekking, camping etc.
Good place to live in & a descent company to 
work for.
For the locals it must be a huge culture shock to see so many Indians there, from different parts of India.
But India is a land of diverse cultures, & peace loving people so blending in takes time, as language barrier is the hardest to break.


You can tell that they truly care about the happiness of their employees. It's a really relaxed and calm environment, even though the work we do can be fast paced. I don't dread coming into work on Monday mornings and the managers are extremely patient and understanding.

Standard General Accounting practices daily, cash management, capital accounting, Pulp A/R US$28,000,000/mth.  Daily administrative duties.  Worked very closely with CFO and Controller on a daily basis.  Performed all month-end and year-end duties.  Completed quarterly and annual external & internal audits.

Strengths in multi tasking and flexibility.

This place is so bad that they don’t follow safe work practice, Management just want to job done without having any downtime of their old machinery, they don’t care how you get it done, Most of people in top management are from India because this is Indian company  and they don’t know how Canadian work culture suppose to be, 

long 12 hour shift would start at 5 or 6am. the coworkers are friendly and inviting in what can be a scary place to work. management was understanding and capable of doing their jobs. hardest part was walking into unexpected gases. best part was the free lunches from the golden rail!

Please safe yourself the head and heart ache and don't build a- life around this Company.

Disregard the laws of the land.
Truth is most of the employees here are un happy. 
The F word is used here like a language.

Safety is number 1 right after everything else. There are no proper regards for safety. No correction for errors made. The injured are blamed for their injuries. Forced to show up at work for 15 minutes to be paid the day to prevent creating loss time accidents. Very toxic culture of almost everyone blaming everyone else for problems. No support from anyone. Management does not listen to operations team. Horrible place to work

My group is awesome  however unorganized and product driven makes for a challenge in the day to day. Not pushed too hard but asked to do things differently then I have been trained to do. Typical old pulp mentality.

* Learned Labor Rates for various trades in Canada
* Co-workers are not ready to take more and more responsibilities.
* Overall costing for manufacturing is totally different compare to Asian Countries. Labor part is more than materials part in overall costing.
* Weather conditions here are worst.
