I was in charge of the Top Ten paperback books and ensuring that we always had these items in stock. I also was a returns coordinator for stores returning magazines to the warehouse. I also picked book orders whenever necessary. A typical day would be checking over the Top Ten paperback books inventory, to ensure that there was enough stock on hand for the orders. Then I would process paperwork for stores returning magazines to the warehouse and pick orders for books and paperbacks as time allowed. Once a week we would coordinate the outgoing shipments to save the shipping crew time and effort. The hardest part of the job was dealing with the dirt and wading through paper up to my ankles. The most enjoyable part of the job was that the site location was excellent.

Typical day of work from start to finish remained fairly consistent. I enjoyed being able to work independently and had no troubles completing task at hand. I liked that the job was somewhat physical. Troubles interacting with management as there was a lot of miscommunication. When issues arise, can never get a hold of management. Pay was slightly above average, definitely not great. Flat rate play isn’t always a bad thing but it is when you do go over the hours and don’t get paid for them. Often tasks included in job would just be added without being discussed beforehand. 

A typical day starts on time and begins with checking the work for the day, which is order picking for books and magazines distribution.  I learned a lot about working in a warehouse setting and the ins and outs of distribution.  Management is supportive of the staff.  Co-workers are fun to work with.  The hardest part of the job is that it is physically demanding and often causes soreness to the hands, shoulders and the whole body in general.  The most enjoyable part of the job is the camaraderie among the workers.

Overworked and underpaid. You are lied to about your resonsibilities. Flat rate pay and the hours are always less than you work, so you end up working for free every shift. If you flat rate is 8 hours it will probably take you 9, etc. Your wage maybe average but when you consider all the extra hours, it's a minimum wage job. Physically demanding too.

Based on my personal experience, 

Overworked employees, very limited training, mandatory overtime, low pay, very heavy work. Very little job stability. Mistreatment of workers. Poor management. Lack of communication and organisation within the company. Unprofessional work environment. 

They are often disorganized with communication, especially with store management and set up.  Results in having to spend more time in store than what is needed.  Pay is very poor at a  set amount per job site.  So when things aren’t communicated properly you end up spending more time in the store than what’s needed. Often end up making less than minimum wage. 

I’ve worked in acculogix for almost a year. The pay was pretty good for no experience but the work is pretty heavy, once they sees you lifting you are gonna be lifting forever, even tho it’s rotational but it’s actually not a rotational. The workers there are pretty friendly that’s the only good thing to work in acculogix.

Scanning magazine covers for 8 hours a day. Which then gives credit back to the store they came from. Standing at a till, using a grocery store style scanner to scan Mag. Covers. SO boring!
The pay sucks and so did most of the people there. Lots of high school drama.

Challenges with company changing hands and adjusting to new locations made this placement a very challenging. I took many life lessons from this company as well as valuable hands on experience.

even though the job was only part time employment. it was still a very hard and fast paced environment to be a part of for a short time.
