I have been fortunate enough to have worked at ARC for several years. I have grown in my skills and knowledge with the help of fantastic RT's and team mates. My personal goals in work have been met with the support of my management team and amazing co workers. It is a great help to know when team members are away management will step in and fill any role so that the team does not suffer. I have been pleasantly surprised on several occasions watching management jump into every possible role, from phones, to patient care, or just to deliver supplies to a patient in need. It is the group of men and woman I work with and the extraordinary patients we help that keep me filled and ready for another day. I have always been a seeker of knowledge and at ARC there are always new skills to learn and management that makes the training available. The atmoshere provides never a dull moment in the office. It is always a great day when you can laugh with every person you are teamed with. Its even better when you realize they are as close as your own family. I have had a few personal challenges over the last few years and have been able to always rely on the open door policy of management. They have been there to support me and give an ear. I have always found something fulfilling in  the work each day... even in the most challenging of circumstances. I may not make the highest wage in the field of administration but in my years of working experience its not always about the money. Loving what you do and enjoying the people around you far outways any financial gains and is really what makes one keep showing up. I may not become rich but I look forward to the days and years to come. If you wonder what ARC is really about... in my opinion, it's about the team and each successful milestone met as you continue to gain knowledge on how to help another human being that is looking to you. The greatest acts of kindness.

This is a good place to work if you need experience, I would not recommend working there long term for poor benefits and management. There is favouritism within the company, they did not treat or respect Admin staff as equal as to if you were an RRT. They do not provide employee reviews like they say they do and will not give you a raise even though you have been making the same wage for 5 years.  If you do get asked to be on call there is a pretty good compensation. They are flexible if you have an emergency and need to leave but you do not get paid sick days. No one is your friend, they will throw you under the bus I learned this the hard way. If you have good mental health then this place will ruin it. 

In the short time (1month) that I have worked for Advanced Respiratory Care, I have felt very welcomed by all the staff and have learned alot about the products and services they provide. The days go by so fast as there's always something going on... it's a busy place. I find the hardest part is knowing all the products and what they do but that will come with time. I also find the people in management are always willing to help me and are patient cause I'm still learning. They are easily approachable if there's an issue with work or home life, very understanding group of individuals and I look forward to more years with this company. 

Having years of medical and patient interaction prepared me for most of what I did at ARC.  Everything else I pretty much learned by reading and attended in house seminars.  The patients that you come into contact with really make your day. The management on the other hand can either be for you or against you.  Just depends on the day. 😕

Typically, you'll serve in several different roles, whether it be home oxygen, Bipap, ABG's, or PFT's.
Learning has been easy, with planned resources and training happening quickly.
Highly dependable management, who have gone the extra mile for any questions, concerns or time off requests that were needed.
The current home oxygen team is flexible and cooperative in accomplishing the days needs.

I always loved coming into to work. It felt like one big happy family. It's nice to walk into a job where you feel that everyone is there to help and support eachother. 
 Yes, it could get overwhelming at times, but what job can't? If you express your concerns to the manager she would always help to take the load off where she could, even if it meant her doing the tasks herself. 
In my opinion it's a great place to work, with some great people. 

You will absolutely never get a raise, they always offer minimum wage. People worked 5 years and never seen a raise. Managers will scream at you and make you cry without a care in the world and make you continue working. 

Management expects you to work through lunch without compensation. You do not get any training you are basically thrown in there. Senior RT in Calgary lacks leadership and skills required to be a mentor and just passes all the things she needs to do to the other already over worked RTs so she could take longer lunches, leave early or simply be on her phone.

Worked here for a few years now. Management has been nothing but fair and accommodating to me. The staff here is friendly and helpful. They are willing to train and teach if you are unsure about something. Overall a pretty great place to work. 

Great place to gain experience but awful place long term if you value your sanity. Management has favouritism for sure towards certain employees and it’s always about the money!
