Management is geared to showing profit in the short term
so efficiency is key. Typical day is very structured & goal 
Orientated. Large orders are given priority because penalties
for late shipments are high. Most workers tend to be job focused
but are encouraged to be team players when large projects
are undertaken. Hardest part is that overtime is required in 
order to keep up to order board. Board meetings are held 
monthly & everyone is updated at these people meetings.
You don't go away hungry & the CEO will show up from time 
to time to give a company wide overview where things are 
going. I learned a lot about how teams can function to get
the best result.

Having a start up meeting with supervisor and employees to discuss most important parts, problems parts and employee issues.My co-workers were great we all worked as a team and helped each other finish their orders when we had ours completed.We got along like a family.I loved working at Affinia.The supervisors were great,they were easy to talk to and they would handle a issue or problem as soon as they could.You were treated like an important part of the factory not just an employee.

First non-union place I worked for and the way you were treated you didn't need one. Good wage and benefits. Hired as an electrician but 95% of the work was millwright work. Management and employees got along extremely well. There was 50% East Indian, 40% Asian and 10% white. The company would celebrate Chinese New Year with free lunch and extra long break as well as East Indian day. This was a three shift operation and I can remember some days not having lunch. The maintenance staff and employees work extremely well together. This was an automotive plant making brake pads. Learned more about millwright work.

Very busy day with a lot of administrative tasks. I learned many things about the industry but most of all i enjoyed how everyone interacted and respected each other. Management was great. The hardest part was trying to get everything done that was required on a daily basis. The most enjoyable part was working with the people nd customers.

A good staff to work with. i have learned a lot about the machines operating at different work stations,especially about paint line machine which i was fortunate to operate individually. it was a fast paced environment and the most enjoyable moment was when we had to finish multiple tasks at a very steady pace.

responsible for 3 automotive brake parts production lines in the molding department.  supervised 13 operators.

Worst job ever. Worst management ever. If you like being overworked and under paid, then this is the place for you. Management will lie to your face. The supervisor sleeps in the first aid room while you bust your butt and then tell you to work faster. Avoid at all costs
