I’ve definitely learned a ton since I started at Affordable Comfort. Every system is a bit different, so I’m always picking up new tricks and ways to troubleshoot. Plus, the team's great about sharing what they know – we’re all in it together.

Management, they’re good people. They actually listen when you have an idea or a problem, and they’re pretty fair with how they run things. They expect a lot, but they give us the support we need, so it feels balanced.

The culture here is chill but professional. We all work hard, but there’s a lot of joking around and it’s not super stiff or anything. They’re serious about work-life balance too, which is a big deal for me.

But the best part is definitely when you fix something that’s been a headache for a customer. You can see the relief on their faces, and it feels great to be the one who sorted it out. Plus, I’m always learning something new, and that keeps the job interesting.

So yeah, overall, it’s a great place to work. Challenging, but in a good way, and the team’s awesome.

Affordable Comfort Heating and Cooling is a technical HVAC company that strives in providing exceptional customer service. All technicians and installers are well trained experienced professionals. As a company Affordable Comfort provides weekly ongoing training in all aspects of the business from service, installations and customer service. The management team are very positive and support all team members equally and non judgmental. I recommend Affordable Comfort because its a fun yet challenging place to work 

Whether it be Technical Skills, or Career Growth, the Opportunity to Grow is strong and present at Affordable Comfort. 

As a Technician, I am able to learn more about Boilers, Commercial Units, Heat Pumps, Geothermal, Ductwork than time spent working for other contractors. This is the place to be when it comes to advancing your skillset quickly. I am also able to learn from fellow Electrician, Sheet Metal Mechanic, and Carpenter which are all apart of the team. This is coupled with a Positive Learning Environment where team meetings are held frequently. 

Each month there is an employee appreciation BBQ where all team members meet. Employees are also encouraged to take part in events held by the company.

A typical day involves getting out into the field, solving real issues for customers, and knowing that what you’re doing matters. Management is approachable and wants you to succeed, they actually listen. I've learned a ton, both technical skills and how to work smarter, not just harder. The culture is solid, people have your back. Hardest part is the weather extremes, but the support makes it manageable. The best part is the satisfaction of helping people and knowing you’re appreciated for it.

I only left Affordable Comfort because I moved out of the area, otherwise I’d still be there. This was hands down the best place I’ve worked. The CEO and management team genuinely care about their people. They lead by example, and if you put in the effort, they’ll give you every opportunity to grow.

I learned so much during my time here,  not just about the trade, but also how to work as part of a solid team that takes pride in what they do. 

Told in interview of regular shift hours and schedule, majority of the time an 8 hour shift would take 10 or 12 hours.
Management encourages workers to provide feedback on how to help improve and grow the company, be careful, this is a trap. I brought up stock and scheduling issues and was coincidentally terminated without reason minutes later. Sorry, the reason was "we are moving in a different direction"....

Excellent employer that is focused on employee development and success within the company. Lots of room for advancement in your career and plenty of training and support to make the next step. 

Company culture is great and always a warm, welcoming place to come into in the morning. Everyone from office staff to the technicians and warehouse employees are friendly and inviting.
