Alberta Carpet and Furnace Cleaning

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Alberta Carpet and Furnace Cleaning. The toxic workplace culture at this company is unacceptable and has had a negative impact on my mental health.

The management team at Alberta Carpet and Furnace Cleaning does not value its employees and fosters a cut-throat, competitive environment. There is a lack of support and appreciation for the hard work that the employees put in, and the constant pressure to meet unrealistic sales targets is overwhelming. 

They expect you to have 90% success rate when phoning customers and get upset at you when you don't make a sale, and replay the recording to listen in and backseat you about how you didn't "try hard enough". 

Additionally, the company does not provide adequate training or resources for its employees, leaving them to figure things out on their own. The lack of clear communication and direction from management only adds to the stress and frustration. They expect you to respond to them within 24 hours, but when you have something urgent and email them - they take their time responding. 

I would not recommend Alberta Carpet and Furnace Cleaning to anyone as a potential employer. The toxic workplace culture at this company is not worth the stress and negative impact on mental health. The management are all hypocrites and treat you like you're below them. 

Overall, this could be a decent place to work if certain changes were made to the company. Most of the management team lack many skills that unfortunately negatively impact the call center. There is a lot of pressure to make sales and it is evident based on experience that they care more about profit than employee welfare.There is very little direction from management in general, but there is a large amount of pressure from them to generate sales.

The job itself is dull and monotonous; you can expect to do the same work every day. Your employee title is 'ISR' meaning Inbound Sales Rep, however this is far from accurate as you will also make a lot of outbound calls to previous customers - most of which are not interested in what you are calling about.

The overall atmosphere is quite toxic, as it is a small office environment. This is apparent by the amount of new staff coming in every few weeks. There is a very high turnover rate and most people in the call center seemed pretty miserable to be there - this is not a long term career for most people.

The job started okay. They try and train you properly. Until they start getting busy, or management gets stressed out, then they toss you into the work head first, ready or not. When you are not answering phone calls for customer inquiries or answering customer emails, you call previous customers to the point of harassment, as to appear busy, otherwise management will be on top of you. Managers breathe down your neck if they don't feel you are either working fast enough or doing well enough, taking only that days statistics into account whether you've been there 2 minutes or 2 hours. They promoted one individual who when asked a question will either ignore you or tell you they "don't know" and "figure it out yourself." This individual also has no leadership abilities and when dealing with staff frustrations takes it personally and has to cry to management (IE: snapping at your staff for voicing valid concerns) Overall not a place you want to work.

There is toxic work environment here, which is a shame because most of the staff are awesome people.  Expect surprise meetings that will demoralize you.  Expect to get stressed out.  Don't expect proper training. 
Ask a question and get several different answers.  They will judge you based on a ridiculous metric that I'm surprised anybody can reach.  Don't expect to work here for long, or a decent raise in your wage.  I once had a surprise meeting because of sales I didn't "close."  I was even given a monetary value of my "lost sales."  Still not sure how they calculated that figure.  If you're desperate for a job go ahead and apply, and if you get the job don't stop applying elsewhere.

Alberta Carpet and Furnace Cleaning is a company that has a family mind set, they take care of their own. Yes there are goal to be met but management here is fantastic at giving support and pushing us to always strive for more! The Solution Center Team is amazing, fun and supportive. If you enjoy sales and love working in a place that treats you like family then you'll love working here. All of our technicians are dedicated and go out of there way to help each other but our customers too! I haven't been here long but I am exited to see what future I have with Alberta Carpet and Furnace Cleaning. It's going to be a blast!

We are a family owed company, and that reflects in every aspect of the job! The managers are awesome, they care about you and want you to succeed at your job they give us all resources possible to make us successful. Everyone in the office gets along great! we all have positive go getter attitudes! our salary is also awesome. When you do a good job they make sure to make a point of it, and make you feel good about your self! Alberta Carpet and furnace cleaning over all a great company to work for! I have only worked here for a few weeks now and it already feels like home! They really pay attention to your strengths that you bring to the table and allow you to give them feedback so they can grow as a company. 
Management really cares about whether you are happy here or not- they are always asking how they can improve the workplace environment, and ask you what your plans are for the future. 
All staff are awesome and it feels like I'm a part of the family.

Challenging, it was fun dealing with different types of people. It was fun working with the carpet and furnace technicians and the ISRs. Unfortunately there are more cons than pros. Long working hours. No job security, they keep on letting go of people. That explains why employees need to work more than 8hrs. Management needs a lot of work. You need to be really good at sales to keep your job. They expect too much from you

This is a poorly run company regardless of the number of years they have been in business. The turn over speaks volumes & the environment is toxic to say the least.The management style is abrasive,condescending & aggressive. It's unfortunate they put their employees last, but then it's about making money only.

We are all family here. The management is fantastic. The staff is always friendly and inviting. When anyone is down, they pick you up. Fantastic friendly competition between the staff makes everyday like games night with the family!
No wonder they are the best carpet and furnace cleaning company in Edmonton! The way that they take care of their staff is beyond compare to other companies
