After 3 days of machining my foreman wanted faster times for a job I was appropriately an hour and a half over on.  It took me about 6 1/2 hours on a job for a job 5 hours. New machine, new tools and new shop being just set up. Everything is necessary to be found as it's in boxes. I'm maybe 51 years old but who should tell anyone after 3 days how fast they should be going?

Everyone in the company is very cooperative and friendly. 
makes you feel warm even if you are new employee here . 
One of my best place to work , if they paid high salary it would be a spectacular place to work

Privately own company that’s been around for a long time. Each location basically has a specific discipline in the manufacturing/fabrication for heavy industrial projects primarily for clients in the oil and gas industry.  Lots of exposure to different varieties of manufacturing/fabrication projects

This is a great place to learn how to stab people in the back. The management "team" each carry two or three different faces and multiple personalities. They will turn on you and each other. One lower management creep even has a couch in his office that he calls his casting couch and his own personal workout room.

If you are a welder then this is the place for you. 
But as a labourer stay away!! No one cares about safety, no one cares about you! 
They allow there employees to come to work high as a kite and say nothing about it. Infact the opposite they defend them and stop managment from taking a drug test.

Never a lack of something to keep yourself busy with.  Everyone gets along well as far as I can tell...although there are always unhappy people at any organization.  I'm not one of them.  Other than lower pay and so-so benefits, I enjoy going to work every day.  Lots of work ahead so happy to have some job security.

There is no safety program worth noting. Bunch of managers telling you their way to do things or they will get rid of you. foreman is always watching people and stressing people out if they take too long on a job. Machines are all worn out and not good. Foreman blames employee for it

Bad unsafe work environment.dirty very congested shop.
Very bad air quality in shop. No safety in shop just get the job done no matter what. Make it seem like it is going to be a long term job witch it could be if you don't mind dirty unsafe shops

Head to shop Sign in go to equipment start it up and Begin your day.
Sweep floors and Move Metal housings in and out of Shop. Re arrange Yard Load Unload trucks.

Days are typical 7-5pm

Good place for someone with a welding ticket to start working but if your a labourer be ready for hard work day with eyes on you constantly for me it just wasn't a good fit but i'm sure it will be a good environment for some
