I worked at Algonquin college New Technology Store for 2 years and it was great, I made so many friends with the staff and the students. It is such a relaxed environment to work in. All of my superiors were nice and very respectful, never once was I disrespected. A typical day would be helping students figure out the products why need for there course, working a cash registrar, answering the phone to help customers with any questions they might have, Contacting suppliers and ordering products for the store to carry, designing signs for the store to pre-mote products, and stocking shelves. I was a great place to work and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a retail job.

Every morning I would come in and get to do the below tasks:

Process all invoices (code, check authorization, match)
Respond to inquiries from vendors concerning accounts.
Process all cheque requisitions and obtain proper delegation of authority.
Work on Exceptions when needed.
Help out in Payroll when needed to process and Small Dollar expenses and Travel expenses.
Take on new tasks when asked.

If I was finished with these I was offered new items to do and was currently being taught new tasks.  I wish I still was working there but it was a temporary position.

The Algonquin staff have grown to be a huge part of my life, most of them are like family now. I'm grateful to have met and bonded with so many amazing people over the past two years.

U get used and abused for little salary the work they except u to do no life what so ever not loyal to the key people who do great work in summer and winter.
