Alithya

My experience at Alithya was disappointing. During my time with the company, I found the work environment to be unstable, with frequent organizational changes, inconsistent leadership, and a lack of transparency in decision-making.

Communication from management was often unclear, creating uncertainty and making it difficult to perform effectively. I also observed high employee turnover and an overall sense of instability regarding teams, projects, and long-term direction.

In my experience, employee contributions were not consistently recognized, and expectations frequently changed without clear communication, making professional growth and career planning challenging.

While I had the opportunity to work with talented and supportive colleagues, my overall experience was negative. I would not recommend Alithya to professionals looking for a stable work environment, clear leadership, and a strong organizational culture.

My experience at Alithya was very pleasant from a professional or human point of view.
the vision of honesty and trust is always visible, because it is the motto of the company towards clients and among co-workers.
For me, it was a rewarding experience where I had the opportunity to learn a lot and contribute at the same time with my experience to my work team. I also had the opportunity to gain great trust with many colleagues and to carry out sports and camaraderie activities.

I really love this company. There is fantastic work-life balance, a great company culture, a progressive and growth oriented mindset, and tons of opportunity for career progression.

As their principle clients are in the nuclear industry, there can be intensive documentation, but it's still a very good job. 

Love working at Alithya, the enviornment is super cool, most people are willing to help and support you. It's a place you can learn a lot, the worklife balance is also something very good. 

Pros: Worklife balance, Different projects that allows you to learn a lot and also meet new people. 

Cons: Sometimes you can be allocated to a not so interesting project, although the responsible team do what it takes to allocate you to something you woud be thriller to work.

A typical day at work consist in assigning TI resources to Projects and Contracts, adjusting billing and cost rates. Creating new Projects and Contracts in Oracle.
Making Contracts for temporary contingent workers and solving timesheet issues for consultants regular employees.
Adjusting Bill plans and invoices for the financial department.

Working at client site 100% of the time and get to see / interact with manager 2-3 times a year
3 weeks of vacations and 10 holidays 
Internet (30mbps+) at home is recommended for 24/7 support and/or remote work

Pro :
Great work / life balance, very permissive and can remote work as needed

Con :
Old and dusty building (Floor, chairs, etc.)
Very slow on new technologies 
Process and documentations are nightmares

Alithya is a fair company with some of the best professionals in the niche industry (Microsoft and Oracle partner).

Orientation was very engaging and welcoming. There were Zoom meetings between new employees and different departments, experts, and even executives.

Team members are very supportive. It's an excellent environment for career and professional growth.

In that place I had get the most of experience in the simulation software development. 
There I had learned what is the good style of working and what is the bad one.
There I had learned to formulate and solve the problems, individual and as a participant of the team.
I have many good friends and colleagues there.

Alithya is a progressive company with forward thinking policies and are open in their communication. Everyone at Alithya is a friend than a colleague. Team spirit is amazing!

Almost 10 years, happy to be part of growing company.
