Whole every landscaping company has issues, this one sure has many more than I've seen. Management is all over the place with so many people over managing or under managing it's chaotic. And rest assured all blame will come back to you regardless of who's actual fault it is. The amount of wasteful work is astounding. The amount of work getting redone is ridiculous. Winter snow removal is during the DAY🤯 with zero overtime. Only get paid the 33 hrs they contract you to. And most of all each season is a contract and at the bottom of that contract it states that every employee must go through a 90 probationary period which of course makes sense until you ask and find out that it means EVERY contract you are re-required to go through the 90 day probationary period... So 6 months a year with absolutely zero job security!!!

 in charge of one crew, but through circumstance ended up running two full crews for the majority of the season, the entire time I made 1 per hour more than the labourer sitting beside me in the truck and assumed complete responsibility for everything. I also had to hold down a second job just to pay my bills. Some days worked 12 hours, changed my clothes on the street by my car, drove to my other job, washed in the sink, and worked until 11pm It was exhausting. When I said we had to have a meeting to discuss the wage situation because I wasn't going through that again, instead I was given walking papers

a typical day at work look like for landscaping ltd hard working people and understanding the stress amongst your peers while at work and while working what i learned is to respect the people around you and boundraies and keeping your work related skills updated and your surroundings and landscaping.management is to work well together and for your peers and same with boss
your co workers being respectful to one another and well in work space the hardest job postion is the air blowing leaves into piles and weed picking culttervating trees.the most enjoyable part of my job is to work well others and my family.

Alphabetter Landscaping when you have the interview they will tell you what you want to hear tell you you get regular raises but at the end they never come through on any of their promises most guys that get hired in the springtime get laid off in the fall even if they have been told they all have job security throughout the winter being on the snow crew never count on anything they say because they don't follow through on nine out of 10 things they say nine out of 10 people that work there are awesome people good-hearted hard-working management and owner of company are not very friendly or trustworthy at all.

Did a couple seasons with the company. There was a lot of rewarding projects that I got to complete with the company. The downside is a lot of very long days to reach deadlines. Sometimes 12+ hour days of hard labor work. The pay was pretty low in comparison to other construction labor work, but definitely enjoyed the teams and got along well with my foreman. This is an easy job to get if you have no experience and helped me get some construction experience on my resume.

Working with Alpha Better was a good experience and a great seasonal job. I found out what I was able to accomplish myself physically and mentally. I really enjoyed working with the people on my crew, they made it easier to get through a long day of hard work. My foreman was also a really good leader and that helped everyone work to their full potential.

Easy integration and ability to work on your own allowing for trust that jobs will get done. Work hours are to be expected for outdoor seasonal work. Annoyance is moving from location to location with your own car or truck, money spent on gas was frustrating. otherwise a very good place to work, pay I believe was not enough for the expected workload. A young man or women friendly job, not something longterm.

Early morning start to get the the trailers loaded up , equipment checked , fueled , and any other equipment for different jobs that may be added in for the week or day. hard working environment , good people , beautiful weather to enjoy while you work. Plenty of overtime available , we get rain days off usually . If its drizzling we work so we dont have to work Saturdays. If its poring rain then were done .

I learned a lot working here, skills that I will need and use for the rest of my life, met amazing people and accomplished great goals as field supervisor. I'll be always proud for what I accomplished in the different communities around Calgary and Chestermere.
