I have great flexibility in the time that I work and the hours I work per week. I provide my schedule, and they schedule me with shifts for those hours. I get to work at various locations across the city, which is most rewarding, as different sites have varied levels of difficulty. 

I appreciate the comprehensive training that they provide in-house and the mandatory training that is required, as they have enabled me to be confident in my role. The scheduling team is very communicative. I know the management has become very strict about lateness, sleeping, and phone use while on shifts. 

Overall, it's a great place to work and gain Canadian experience, as not many organizations are offering this opportunity to newcomers. 

I  have been working for this company for over 8 months and when I just started I was fresh out of school with no real-life experience working in a shelter. I was scared but the company trained me and gave me the support necessary for me to be more confident and now I am able to work independently anywhere they send me. The only drawback is you need to be close to your phone in order to get the shifts. Sometimes you get prebooked shifts but you still need to be flexible and responsive to on-call shifts. 

First,  they try to hold you down with a contract that says you have to work with them for 2years before you can be hired by any company that has interest in you.  After completing the required hours, they fail to let you go. The Operation Manager yells at staff, come off rude and is very authoritative.  There is high level of favoritism when giving shifts by management staffs and they are always looking for opportunities not to pay for worked shifts. Full time hours not guaranteed and no job security 

The company itself is not bad, though I will say given with how the pandemic is and what's going on. It's not really suited for freshly grad students to don't have the means to afford transportation everyday! Shifts are hard to pick up, and being on call will drain you fi you decide to do so! Management is not super responsive after a while. You're better off applying elsewhere! Also, working 10 shifts min to receive pay is pretty rough for those that don't get enough shifts! It's unrealistic.. 

Great agency to start career. Very supportive staff. You will get work day and night. It’s great to work with alpha resources limited. This agency is on call, when you call them they will give you shifts. It’s good experience to work with alpha resources. They also have options to study further for different courses. If you want to work as case manager, they will provide the course and also so many other option for people who seek employment in social work field. 

As an international student, challenges with studying and having a part-time job.  Alpha Resources Ltd. team has offered flexible time for my studies while allowing me to gain valuable experience in my field of study. The Alpha team are warm and welcoming, they readily assist in providing training in the areas that I am not experience. 

It's a great place to gain experience in your career field and offers a great work balance with the shifts that you are given.  Offers some good training only thing that sucks is the number of hours that you have to complete with them before working with another organization that they partner up with

Alpha has equipped me with the necessary skills I needed for my career. They ensured I had everything to my disposal to be well knowledgeable. Additionally, they took the time to help me figure out what I wanted to do and taught me as such. I highly recommend Alpha to anyone because they have your interests at heart.

Management is super kind and understand. The work load is perfect and not overwhelming. Overall great place to be employed at. They provide a lot of support in the beginning and offer free training. 

Alpha Resources is one of the amazing place or company you want to work with. Staff are always there to guide you,listen to you and answer to your request. Awesome team . Great support system. Just know they are a 10.
