This company Posed as another company offering Long term work. I took this job wanting to stay employed throughout the winter. I was told there would be at least 6- 8 months of work. Which mad me choose this job over 2 others that paid more but couldn't guarantee longevity. I was Laid off after 2 months in the hardest season to find work in this industry the day before Christmas eve. With a schedule and promise I was to continue work on the 27th of December. They also docked pay off of my Christmas check for Drive Out Allowance On the paycheck that was given to me the day before layoff.

I like interaction with my co-workers

Personally I have got no stress  working here

A diverse environment  and work is super easy for me.

I love when it's busy there is lots to learn and understand lots of things.

Nothing they treat you like dirt

Having too many people to please everyone is out for themselves

Toxic, back stabbing, bullying from grown adults.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful with zero appreciation

12 hour day, full of: exposure to the elements, physical, fast paced activities that heavily rely on team work.  Teaches you to be aware of surrounding's, with constant and potentially changing hazards. forces one to adopt a safety mentality.  Challenging in facing fears: heights and confined spaces, as well as physically exerting.  Strong brotherhood, good pay.

Can’t really think of anything 🤔

It’s all good,from supervision to coworkers 💯

Always keeping safety in mind.

Don't take a contract job at a nuclear power site north of Toronto,  its a mess unorganized sloppy, ego party, no one knows how to support staff, very little training,  lack of proper equipment. Too many men gossiping not enough work done. Management rude and uncareing sausage party, boot  camp. My worse job ever do not take a job here you'll regret it

Still working there  union companie good pension 1325 best union

No stress good management everyone works together

Tool box talk get permit review job  fill out flra get materials for job  build scaffold cltup area return permit sign out

Good company to work for, I have learnt a lot during my tenure as apprentice Scafold.The management were friendly and the workplace  was welcoming. Since I was new you might sometimes work with different crew and they might yell at you until they learn you are apprentice.

It was stability.
Then that changed overnight

Not knowing what to expect next

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get up for work, do your job.
Straightforward

Would not recommend this company. They walk all over their employees. The management will not lift a finger for you unless the client opens their cheque book. Cheap PPE, ripped and rugged coveralls.
