High-volume recruiting, Good place to work, to learn and grow as the teams/team members are helpful and collaborative, data-driven organization, flexible work culture, no micro management, but the skip level management(S-team)  should do better and  get laid off first for their bad planning and misleading announcements for example - mandatory RTO(with providing any data to back it up) after announcing they do not have plans to go back to office and better operational planning with hiring/hiring approvals would have avoided the 20,000+ job cuts.

AWS is an intriguing company with an impressive pace of innovation, providing ample opportunities to showcase your skills and grow professionally. However, the key to maintaining your sanity and achieving success lies heavily in the hands of your manager.

The work environment can be demanding due to the omnipresent politics and administrative overhead that may hinder your experience at AWS. Despite these challenges, if you can navigate through the complexities and secure a supportive manager, your journey at AWS could be rewarding and fulfilling.

Working at AWS as a contractor was an experience and eye opener, very good strategy and motivated. However, limited access to internal resources to do the job and management treating you as expendable at any time. Of the 80 contractors over 2 years, none made it to full time. 

You will learn a lot of software engineering skills here as it is a fast paced environment, and there is a lot expected of you. But this learning comes at a cost of burnout. 

But its great the company is giving everyone a chance to interview with them due to the amount of growth they are experiencing.

Stressful job in a very competitive environment. Good for technical skills growth, but no long term vision. A lot of non-coding activities, such as supporting legacy code and infrastructure

AWS is hard work, tough on-call, high expectations. Don't come here for WLB, if you have kids, etc. 
I regularly worked 12 hour days, but the learning opportunities have been unmatched in all my career.
Come here. Fight it out for a year or two, and then go to greener pastures.

Good place to learn and they give you a great package. If you're on the right team then it is smooth sailing. However, there are stacked rankings though along with a strong learning plan and PIP culture

Friendly management and work. Highly competitive work environment that means no slacking off. Strict deadlines and lots of work but if you like software should be great experience for starting your career.

Lots of ops in AWS. Very less scope of innovation on top of Amazon politics. 
Overall amazon tag makes a great difference on your resume so if you have, don't give up FAANG opportunity. Tech wise, I feel startups offer more learning.

Unmatched opportunities to learn and grow from amazing experienced engineers but almost all glories are from the past.  Day 2 mindset is setting in and innovation feels second fiddle to maintainence.
