My typical day at work involves supervising staff to ensure the banquet is a success.
I have learned essentials skills in audio visual equipment, how to manage a group of people under my supervision, and have bettered my interpersonal skills.
My manager is an easy-going person who has taught me a great deal of the knowledge I gained.
Most of my co-workers are around my age and we all get alon very well and easily have become friends.
The hardest part of my job is that the banquet department is seasonal work which makes for unreliable hours.
That I am able to work in other departments of the hotel when banquets is slow. My most favourite department is maintenance which I am currently working for the second summer in a row.

Mind tricks, over worked employees, underpaid, no breaks.  Once worked nightshifts and security forgot to check bathrooms of bar, and a man very intoxicated was left passed out in there for me to discover when cleaning bathrooms. 
Family manipulates staff, steals tips, garnishes cheques without reason.... do yourself a favor and avoid working here!

I worked to the hotel as a part time housekeeper which was really good experience for me. I feel comfortable and easy to work there because of friendly nature of the other staff as well as manager. i learned to how to fit myself in different people from different country. They never gives a work load. The hardest part of the job is i live far from the hotel so, i have to travel too long to reach there. 

Working at the ambassador took up a large portion of my time though I was simply part time I worked usually Tuesday threw Saturday 2 pm until 10 pm sometimes until 3 am . Always many opportunities for additional hours if you are looking for them.

If you are in your late teens or early 20's. Get in here. Good benefits, nice people. Good way to spend 12 hours of your week. If your looking for a real job, this place doesn't have the time for you. 

Pay was min wage management was good as front desk I was on my own for most of shift as a family business there are not much room to advance they are looking to sell if the right offer came in co workers were good again lot of on your own work so didn't see them much

I worked in the banquets department and a times it was slow and at times it was fast, sometimes there’s teamwork and sometimes your alone.  My favourite times was setting up the wedding and working the weddings

The people there are great to work with. It felt like a family environment and was enjoyable to come to work before it was sold. So much history in the hotel and banquets. It is still a great place for customers to go, but not as enjoyable to work

The job was easy and the other cleaners where fun to work with but some of the management were not the greatest and very rude and would take her own personal life troubles to work and take them out on the staff.

great environment meeting with different people of the world was very interesting helped to learn to deal with people with different cultures and background..
