Was a fun place to start however you quickly learn it is the least popular BP location in town for a reason. Owner is more concerned with saving on labor than providing proper service. Staff have been known to bring in their own supplies (lemons, fresh fruit, juices, etc) in order to properly make drinks because they are not properly supplied by the company. Some of the staff there truly care and go above and beyond despite not being recognized for their actions.
Most of the staff are great which is why it is so odd that each department in the hotel appears to hate the other. Everyone is willing to share their thoughts on each other and if you let them speak, you`ll quickly learn who is useful in the company and who is not. Was helpful to navigate the place while at the same time left you wondering what was being said about yourself once you left the room.

A typical day at work would be folding and stacking towels and organizing life jackets as well as signing them in and out for customers in the hotel. I would also work in the arcade where I would do the typical arcade duties of refilling tickets in games and fixing coin jams along with counting customers tickets and giving them their prizes. In the gift shop, there would be cleaning duties mostly, such as dusting off shelves, vacuuming, and folding and organizing clothes on their shelves or hangers. Also, when customers were ready, I would cash out their items for them at the cash register. There is also office duties, such as answering phones, filing, and organizing paperwork. 
The coworkers were like family to me, especially after working there for so long. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. 

This place really doesn’t care about their staff. They go way over their capacity limits during high peak seasons just to make more money making the guests and staff miserable. They have a high turnover rate of staff. Their management is so rude, mean and arrogant. They’re so desperate for life guards they allow people with expired certifications to guard the pools. They pay off health inspectors just to pass the inspections. This place isn’t the safest or healthiest environment to work in.

The job has a variety of events that can be held there which allows you to interact with many different people. This can include, but not singled to weddings, religious gatherings, pool tournaments and so on. The job allows provides you with hands on training with an easy learning curve. the most enjoyable part of this job is connecting with the people your serving or help will they have their event there.

Very fast paced environment, you have to be able to work under pressure because that's basically all this job is. Lots of cash balancing and lack of training, however the people that work there are great people and managers are amazing people as well. Room for growth which is nice. Overall job has long hours, terrible shift hours, and very stressful.

Very nice working environment. Nice co employees. Very kind managers and owners. Free coffee and discounted food from Boston Pizza. Nice uniform. Clean working space. Too much paper waste that can be reuse if you think of lowering the cost of office supplies

I do miss the Americana I worked there 4 years made some good friends and the family that owns Americana are wonderful people always made a point to say hello to everyone . Hope
Someday I can go back to work there .❤️

Busy from the moment you get there untill the moment you leave.
Learn something every shift. Always new challenges with each function. Love when people enjoy there night and appreciate all the hard work it takes to make a function go off without a hitch.

Really fun workplace, co workers are amazing, however its impossible to advance in the company, as there is very strong nepotism throughout the company and its all about who you know 

Worked as a gift shop employee was very slow no shifts send me home early didn’t not like working for the place. Never got hours pay was low everyone was nice just not an overall good job there. Everything was not clean
