I love driving and meeting people.  There are some fascinating people in the world and if you are a good communicator, they'll share some stories.   You see a lot of interesting human behaviors both on the street and in your backseat.  Some customers will talk to each other or on the phone as though you are not even there. You really have be willing to help your customers, carry groceries, open doors and sometimes, just listen to them. A few of the other driver's can be anti-social and even cut throat when poaching fares but dispatch does a good job keeping things balanced.  And most driver's are friendly and helpful.

A typical day of work starts at 4am and runs to around 4pm. When i start my shift I'm responsible to do a quick inspection of my vehicle. ie: Fluids, cleanliness, and check for possible damage. I am required to top up all fluids and to clean the car. any damage would be reported to the owner of the Cab. I work with very little supervision and only see my manager at the end of my shift. For the lost part this job is very laid back, however when you drive taxi you will meet some interesting people some good, some bad.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Don’t waste your time. They put out too many cabs so the pay is low. I quit because I wasn’t getting paid by by my broker. This is not a good job. This not a good company. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You can be threatened or hurt by the customers. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10-12 hours just sitting waiting for hour or more for a cheap fare

I'm not sure how this is legal. There should be a base pay for drivers since the company cannot produce enough business to cover minimum wage. 

Furthermore, people can steal calls right in front of your eyes and it's called a *90*. 

You may wait 40 minutes for a single call, and watch someone pick them up and it's allowed. 40 cars, 40 minute wait times and zero guaranteed income.

Received Inbound calls and sent calls to drivers through dispatch software. Lots of customer service. Job was quite easy. Workplace was not so friendly, co-workers sometimes lost their cool. Little bit of a rough environment. Break times were sometimes iffy.

I love my job! No day is ever the same. Helpful management. Great hours, I love driving so it its relaxing for me. Training was 3 days for me but if you need more can request it!  Most staff and coworkers are friendly and helpful!

Enjoyed the interaction with customers and clients.  Learned something new everyday.  Staff friendly to work with and always helpful if needed.

Enduring drunks university brats and welfare bums eventually burns you out and makes you look for new work!

Good place to work if you are familiar with the city and surrounding areas. You are basically leasing the car for a percentage of your fares. Choice of nights or days. Roughly a 12 hour shift
