A company with four core values of Honesty, Excellence, Respect, and Stewardship. Overall, the company tries to live to these every day, and senior management consistently demonstrates their commitment to these values. The CEO is energetic and engaged, the senior and middle management are overall well respected and work hard, and the factory floor has a diverse group of people who overall work well together with few concerns. The company has had a history of where these values were not lived but has evolved significantly over the years. Some factory positions are more balanced than others, which is to be expected in a company this small. If you work in a "team of one," be prepared to self-advocate to ensure management awareness. Change may not occur immediately, but your voice will be heard. The CEO, and most management, has an open-door policy. 

Pretty good company if you want stable job, work peacefully and dont like to get into fiascos. 
Everyone has different experiences and opinions, but mine was a good experience overall. I received promotions and raises; they gave me opportunities to grow and learn by placing me in different areas; and there were no complaints about me (hopefully). 
Working at the production floor: You might feel a little isolated at first when working with them, but just have conversations with them and work. Note that many of them like to complain so dont take it too personal. 
Working at the office area: too quiet and great space at the same time because you have your own room to work in with no disturbance. Everyone's respects the personal spaces 

While upper management has an excellent idea in how the company should operate their hiring practices of middle management and poor plan execution do not reflect that vision.  
Random terminations, lack of communication, delegation of blame, combined with an archaic, erratic, ego driven, insincere plant manager result in poor employee morale and lack of direction.
The high staff changeover reflects the desperation of trying to realise the company's vision but instead of informing the staff discretion they simply terminate.  
The production staff are wonderful.

Until they understand what they are looking for and how to implement that vision it is best to pass.

They fire people. Everybody is stressed because they don't know when is they are getting fired. Not a stable place to work. They hired a very nice girl for operation and she was trying so hard and was doing an amazing job. She made improvement in short time. Today, I heard from someone inside the company that they fired her. I am writing this because I think it was UNFAIR. I am glad that I am not working there any more, even I was there for many years. On the surface the general manager looks like nice person. Don't waste your time. They are lot of production work around Abbotsford and they pay better. The management look nice if you talk to them but they are unfair to employee.

In the past I have chosen workplaces because of their values. 
APEX was no different.  I decided to work here because of the core values that I see worked out in the owner group, the senior management and the team as a whole: Honesty, Respect, Excellence and Stewardship. We are building something good here. It's not for the faint of heart. If you are looking to make a difference in the food industry (and the world), and like to be in a place of continuous improvement, we are the place for you. A bonus, we get to work with people that become family. And we have pizza parties from time to time. 

During my time at Apex Food Source I was able to interact with many different departments. We had daily safety talk where every member of the team joined. We often spoke about the company values but two of them I never saw. Certain members of the team will pit one person against another until one quits. In my time there, this happened 3 times. This placed changed me, but mostly in a very negative way. If you work here, I hope you are the most confident/arrogant person because it will help you survive. It is a place with great potential but best in class, not by a long shot.

This company will use you then fire you before 3 months. Nobody working here has been here long minus a few chosen ones. Management will lie to your face then hurry you in your work. Typical factory where workers are treated different from management, used and treated with ignorance although they talk like they care and smile in your face. They’re faking it. They just want you to fill their orders. Breaks are also a “privilege”. They barely make the law and they only make it because there’s one. This is the type of company that if there was no law on breaks, they wouldn’t give one. 

I have been working with APEX since November 2019 and I can say with full of confidence that I made the right decision towards my career by joining APEX. I work with almost everyone here due to my job responsibilities and I enjoy the atmosphere and the culture of this place. The company went through a lot of changes in the past year or so as the company has a very inspiring plan to grow in the soon future.   

One thing I want to add about APEX that they care about people.

Good working environment. Really enjoyed working with my co workers, easy to get along with, everyone is helpful and will guide you on how to do different line/task.  Production Manager is the best, he really knows how to manage the team and delegate tasks accordingly. Safety talk everyday is awesome. I only work there for awhile but I could say I had a blast working with them.

These people don't understand loyalty, commitment and hard work. The management is so mean to people. They treat people like a piece of dirt. From the bottom to the top of the company is a mess. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. It's waste of time working here. Spend your energy and time looking for another job.
