I’ve been working at Apex for some time now, and while I came in motivated and ready to contribute, my experience has been disappointing. The work environment has become increasingly toxic due to a management style that heavily favors certain individuals regardless of performance.

There is a clear lack of recognition for those who consistently get the job done and go the extra mile. Meanwhile, others who contribute very little in terms of actual output seem to advance quickly, simply because they know how to “talk the talk.” It’s discouraging to see politics and favoritism rewarded over genuine hard work and results.

The lack of fair treatment and support makes it exhausting to come in every day with a positive mindset. Employees who want to grow and perform well are often left feeling overlooked and undervalued.

I’m sharing this not out of bitterness, but in hopes that the company takes these concerns seriously and begins fostering a more respectful and performance-based work culture. Until then, I personally do not see a future here and am actively seeking other opportunities.

- Lots of SOP's to follow, can be difficult to learn but once you understand them they are easy to follow
- New annual review process, helps employees understand what the job expectations are for each role.
- High standards for employees
- Good relationship with managers and HR, can talk to them if there are problems. Usually get an answer or they help fix the issue, but not always.
- Team gets along well and help each other out, but you have to ask for help.
- Company does social events, summer party and holiday party are fun.
- When work is slow, company doesn't send ppl home or cut hours but find things to fix or improve so you don't lose wages.
- There is turnover for new operators that join, new team members don't seem to want to work as hard as the current employees.
- Focus on product quality, so mistakes are taken seriously
- Very specialized work in most areas, so not a good fit for everyone

I worked at Apex Graphics for over 1 year, starting as a temp moving to full time permanent.  The team took time to train me and ensure I was comfortable with my day to day responsibilities before I was allowed to work without supervision. 

At the start of 2018, there were several (3) employees who left the organization, the company communicated these departures quickly and respectfully. While it seemed like a lot of transition within a short period of time, the roles were quickly filled and the replacement employees have been skilled, reliable and eager to support the current team.

I have never worried about my job, even when production became slow. Management has communicated often what the companies outlook is.

Have been working at Apex for approx. 2 years now and have been given multiple opportunities to take on new responsibilities and learn different areas of the organization. 

The company has had some turnover in the Bindery and Front Office teams, however, the employees who have been hired to replace these team members are a wonderful fit with the team and culture. It feels like a more positive and efficient organization.

From my experience at the company, I believe that if you work hard and collaborate with your team members and other departments, you will be recognized. Have noticed that when errors happen, managers take the time to provide more training to ensure that you understand. However, if/when employees make the same mistake over and over, the company starts to document mistakes, which can impact your bonus.

I am new to the Apex team and have really liked my time here so far. Plant team works very hard since it is busy with large amount of orders. Have been able to work multiple overtime shifts since starting. Was hired and started during COVID since Apex is an essential service and multiple steps are in place to make sure ppl are safe (masks, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies for machines). Feel comfortable coming into the building. Not a lot of interaction between the office and the plant teams, but people on the plant team are very nice and welcoming.  Been able to learn a lot in a short period of time, but machines are very specific. Believe that there are good development opportunities.

The company supports a very specialized market, pharmaceutical printing. Very quality-focused, so lots of process and procedures to follow. Need to learn them quickly to avoid mistakes

Lots of opportunities to grow in the plant, started in a  junior position then being taught about machinery/technical skills. Can progress quickly if you are a hard worker and focus on the details. Lots of staff that have been there 10+ years, good environment but has typical issues all manufacturing warehouses have.  Pay is fair at start, gets above average when you progress to technical roles.

This is a company that promotes itself as having a great culture and is a great place to work but don't be fooled.  It was a revolving door of employees, they changed the door key code when someone was fired and no one could remember it because it happened so often (of course all these people were referred to as "bad apples", they weren't.  It will take a little while to see that what they say and what is actually the case is really 2 different things.  Very poor management.

Terrible place to work. The manager is unbelievably insufferable. Just pure negativity and if you want the work at the most boring job in the word this is definitely it. 10 hours in one spot and pure repetition. They lie to you about how they want employees to grow with the company and that couldn’t be further from the truth. 0/10 would never recommend 

The machines needs maintenance and they don’t allow anyone to do the maintenance on the machines.  There are also worn out parts on the machines.  And they won’t replace it.  Overall, this is not a good company to work for.  There is also a high turnover rate.  People come and go.

They are very nice people but for what they want us to do, they don't have the right equipment or customer service for it.
They have great intentions but they really should stick to what they know best and that is the pharma industry.
