Apollo Microwaves

A typical day main responsibility is setting up and operating 2 CNC milling machines while also re-machining pieces using conventional equipment for the telecommunication industry. Typical materials machined were aluminum or brass, sometimes steel or titanium. I learned interesting techniques for mass production and repair work. I got experience using a variety of CNC equipment and conventional equipment. Co-workers at Apollo are mostly friendly and helpful. During my time, there was no xmas party or summer events. Also there are no bonus and max 2 sick days.

 Overall I was not satisfied working for Apollo Microwave. During my interview I was seriously mislead about salary. Specifically, I was told I'd get a raise after 3 months but I received nothing. I would not have accepted the job if I knew the very low starting salary would become my permanent salary. I asked about the promised raise and was told I needed to work more time and the yearly employee reviews were over so I'd have to wait until next year. One year later I asked again for a raise and was told upper management needs more time for discussions. Ultimately after months go by, I was rejected and was told many excuses, none of which were related to me or my work ethic. My direct supervisor who had seen my work ethic daily said on multiple occasions I was "a really good guy". Later when I gave my 2 weeks notice suddenly upper management found money for a big raise. At which point I told them it's too late.

 My experience at Apollo isn't unique. During my 3 years working there I saw maybe 40-50 people come and go. Even the HR team kept quitting because of the intense workload of finding new employees.

 In conclusion, I can't recommend working at Apollo Microwaves. This company treats everyone as replaceable and even if they like you, it's only when you decide to leave they suddenly act like they care. If you are at the beginning of your career and just learning it's OK. If you are at the end of your career and just want to work in a clean area with A/C and decent insurance then it's OK. My advice is to make sure your starting salary at signing employment contract is one you are happy with for many years.

As anything happened in every work environment.Company is Good and specially my manager.However Some coworker colleagues hard to trust.They hit on back and i do not know anything what happened and That make my mind to freeze to think what i am doing.Even if you say sorry for any mistake ,still they consider you enemy.Overall CEO AND MY MANAGER was GOOD IN COMPANY.

The only way i could reccomend working at this company is if you are looking to gain experience in machining. The employees are friendly and the Human resources is nice but the pay is highly uncompetitive and there is barely any difference between the salary of experienced workers and new employees. The managers will sometimes even ask you to do overtime when you're being paid 15$/h.

I am also a new employee working since jan, 19 as a cnc lathe operator. For me its best company in Montreal to work for. Most of the co workers are helpful, supervisors, h.r, other management is very cooperative and helpful..so i recommend it ..

The lab is a great place to work. The people are friendly, workplace is really nice, and management is always good to me. Company is often busy, so overtime can be available. A lot of variety in the products, so depending on what I'm working on, can be easy or a challenge, but at least never boring.

Apollo is at best a decent place to learn your skills but salary wise this was one of the lowest paid jobs i've ever worked at. If money is not something you care about when accepting a job it might not be the worse place to work.

I absolutely loved the company and the people. The team really felt like a family. I had to leave for personal reasons, but it really was an awesome place to work, and I miss it. The managers really care about their teams, and the environment was stimulating and supportive.

The company has poor insurance and goes on the cheap things for employed.
Don't leave your job to come here.
If you don't have experience is a good place to start but for someone who has experience is not a good place.
