Well I went through all of the training, one full week of training, doing test pages etc., scored stellar on the practice pages and took the final test twice.  

The first time around, I did sub-par and can admit to this.  I also kept track of all of my answers and how far off on each I was. After the first test I got in contact with the qualification team who did not respond (although they pride themselves on the support that they offer) I participated in the group chat to ask questions about the items that I didn't agree on and was give a sales answer (i.e. dance around the question and no direct answer). I sent 3 different emails, all 3 have not been responded to. In addition to this, the email addresses from the "qualification" team changed....this I found very odd and that it demonstrated inconsistencies. I feel on my part that I tried to reach out and get the guidance to succeed without any assistance.

The second time around, I had 8 out of 50 questions incorrect. They were offby 1 grade on each and I was told I still did not qualify.  Again I sent this to the team with the details and I received a generic email that they would respond in 24 hours. I am really disappointed in this process, the first test I know what answers I gave and how offby they were and I scored better the first time around in the same sections than the second with less wrong and closer in spectrum of offby....so they have received over 100 "free" ratings under the guise of training.

I am in the process of reporting the CA-EN section to the fraud department to see if there is something that they can do to at least ban it from Canada....I see job postings for it and I really hope that people will read these reviews and understand that like previous reviews only 2-5% of people are allowed to participate and this is so they can have the very few positive reviews and keep themselves looking legitimate.   If I had scored poorly I would admit to this aspect and have no issues, I can accept that, but this practice was all a bit to shady and my family said the same thing while I was doing the process.

First you have a 50 pages guidelines to learn plus around 10 modules and 4 lessons to learn.

You have to install everything by yoursef they told me the qualifications would take me 30 hours and I would be pay 300.  In fact it takes 2 weeks full times and more so around 70 h-80 h.

The toolbar never wok and their help desk is not good at all.

The auditor don't follow their guidelines in my last test I had to appeal 3 times because this was in total contracdiction with what they thaught us......And I was 110 % sure I even had a similar example that I copy and paste...I failed 


I am wondering if they just use us, in the qualification.  Moreover they told you this is not subjetive but it is totally subjective.  

There is 2 ways of rating.:rating the LP or rating the intent.... how do you know how to rate ? you don't

Waist of my precious time

I once made more than $1500 in less than half a month but as always with Appen projects, the data dwindled down and i wasn’t able to make much anymore. New or lesser known Appen projects usually end within a few months and that leaves you without a job (except long term projects like Yukon). Definitely wouldn’t consider doing this full time, but its a good side income.

Many people around the world work for this company have been a great online company for many years. I've been with Appen since 2015 and have worked only online in my home and they have always paid me bt directly deposited in my bank. They did this all over the world and many Nations work for them online.

really disappointed. I put in many hours doing a tedious job that used my voice ( not sure what they are going to do with that) and I haven't gotten paid. My emails about this are being ignored. Seems scammy to me, and now my voice is out there for them to do what they please with and that is unsettling to me.

Provided a flexible schedule to fit a busy lifestyle. A work from home opportunity that is actually legitimate. I could work at an hour of the day or night.

Me-myself enjoys the Appen experience. It is interesting to work with internet technologies and gain experience with AI. Working from home gives me-myself the freedom to work my own time improving my leadership and quality of life.

Appen is a great place to work. It's a very flexible work environment and the work itself is not too demanding. There are also  many opportunities for growth and professional development. 
 

Fair paying job for the amount of work. Very versatile in opportunities to work your own schedule. Team leads were always responsive and there is minor room for growth. 

Gig work, pay is terrible and management is worse. This is a contract company for Google that pretends to have employees versus independent contractors.
