I feel i was privileged working at Arcom for over 12years, during that time I witnessed firsthand their unwavering commitment to excellence in the datacom and electrical industry. Starting as s journeyman electrician who eventually grew into the role of an estimator and project manager, I can wholeheartedly say that my time at Arcom was truly remarkable.

Arcom is an exemplary family-owned business that values its employees and places immense importance on personal growth and development. The supportive environment fostered a sense of teamwork, allowing us to achieve some exceptional results. What truly stood out was the owners unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch service; our motto was "Happy to be of Service". This dedication ensured that we consistently provided our clients with nothing short of outstanding electrical and datacom installations. Under the capable leadership of the Archie Smith, my experience progressed from a journeyman electrician to a multifaceted professional. I was given ample opportunities to expand my skillset and assume a role as an Estimator & Project manager. The trust placed in me to lead projects from start to finish was deeply fulfilling, and it served as a testament to the confidence my employer had in my abilities. The exceptional support system in place made it evident that the owners genuinely cared about their staff's personal and professional growth. Collaboration and communication were always encouraged, creating an environment where ideas were freely shared and worked upon collectively.

Arcom is a great place to work. They are highly organized, pay well and have a performance profit sharing for all staff. Management is open, caring and receptive. The culture is one of personal accountability and reward. They provide goals and assistance in their culture. The hardest part of the job is working in healthcare environments, may protocols to follow but to be expected. Great team environment, they do need more personal company functions to solidify the team.

One of the best I have worked for, don't plan on leaving. Advancement based on tracked performance, ability and attitude. Management listens, PME's need to provide better info and support to the site crews. The company is well respected among customers. Not a company to "hang out" in, you are expected to work and succeed.

Fast paced work ethic, constant opportunities to challenge and improve. Team building and mentoring cheerfully provided by owner of company, always open to chat and provide advice and assistance. Company provides every opportunity for advancement and support for schooling.

Worked here for almost 3 years and couldn’t of had a better experience! The journeymen and Forman here are extremely knowledgeable and helped me excel in the trade. The office staff are great and are always looking for ways to help field staff. I couldn’t of asked for a better company to work for! 

Arcom is taking jobs outside of Edmonton from 20 mins to two hours away. However they didn’t include drive time in the bid so they expect everyone to wake up extra early and get home extra late for no extra money.

Arcom was the electrical company that indentured me in the first place i cant thank this company enough for getting my foot in the door and now i am a Journeymen electrician.

Good place to work, family run, if you work hard and have great quality work with old school values.  If you aren't a hard worker, they don't keep you but that's fair.  Only thing they need to improve is communication.  

Was a great learning experience working for a company run by people who cared very much about all their employees. I regret leaving but due to unforeseen circumstances I moved to nanaimo b.c from edmonton alberta.

A great place to being an electrical career. Small company with great core values. Being comfortable with out of town work is a must due to the nature of the company.
