A typical day at work would involve completing an initial checklist in order to ensure the proper maintenance of all machinery, as well as consistently overlooking various production processes. 
Quality assurance also had to be maintained by inspecting various donuts, pastries and yeast products, as well as adhering to strict sanitary and food safety regulations. 

I learned how to manage various different responsibilities, as well as how to utilize effective teamwork, safety and organizational skills. 

The management was astounding; they were all kind, friendly and helpful, and were always there for you whether you needed extra assistance or advice. My team members and co-workers were also very similar; extremely helpful and kind, and taught me how to effectively utilize my communication and team based skills. 

The hardest part of my job was the full time 12 hour a day, 24 - 60 hour a week shifts. Another difficult aspect was 12 hour night shifts; it made it difficult to balance my professional and social life. 

The most enjoyable part of my job was that once you learned how to effectively complete your tasks, it became like second nature and made it easier to maintain proper efficiency of the products and machinery on a daily basis.

I worked here for over two years, never took a single holiday, increased production schedules, and saved the company significant revenue. A typical day meant navigating constant politics—if you wanted to survive, you had to constantly report to the director. Management is completely driven by favoritism; the director is mean, racist, and protects senior people regardless of performance. The hardest part was watching internal hiring bypass qualified employees because they “don’t want to lose that position.” I was fired without Notice n till date i am unaware of reason of dismiss, despite two years of sacrifice. The most enjoyable part was the actual work and achievements, but the toxic culture overshadows everything.

This was a decent place to work when I started years ago, now it’s more or less terrible with the exception of the odd awesome person to work with. There’s a lot of new employees and for the most part are clueless about how to do their job. The training is terrible so it’s more or less at no fault of their own. They have new people training new people that still don’t know their job. All employees that have been there long term have a terrible attitude. The equipment is as old as the factory and things break down all the time. They never actually replace anything, just put temporary bandaids on them. The work you do isn’t appreciated whatsoever. You can go above and beyond and they don’t notice but if you make one small mistake it’s the end of the world. Most of the supervisors and team leads were decent but when it comes to upper management all they care about is themselves and their bonuses, you’re just a replaceable number. The continental shifts are 50/50, long hours that can really drag but a lot of days off in return. The only real bonus to this job is it does pay quite well. To be honest the pay isn’t worth the headache. Stay away from this place if you like your sanity...

I worked for Aryzta but not when it is under the Aspire Bakeries ownership. I loved my job there and looked forward to going to work every day to get to do my actual job. That being said however, the management team couldn't care less about all the extra work I did outside of the scope that I was trained, educated and hired for not to mention all the time I came in on my off hours for free so that others in my department didn't have to worry about things outside of their job scope for that day. My coworkers were amazing and we all really had eachothers back. This is part of why I stayed so long with the company. 

If I had to sum up my time at the bakery or I would say it was educational, ok pay, not hard work at all but mentally and emotionally exhausting. I would only recommend working there if you had already tried to get hired at 10 other places and failed. They will 100% hire you. Knowing what I know now I wish I didn't stay there so long as I would probably be in a much better place today but I did make some life long friendships which I choose to see as the silver lining in all of it!!

this was a great place to work, your coworkers were fun and friendly and your supervisors were down to earth and very understanding. i was hired through a temp agency for a summer position. I had a lot of fun here and met a lot of great people making it a wonderful experience and pleasant place to work. I did 12 hour rotating shifts with 3 breaks throughout the shifts. honestly you couldn't ask for a better company to work for, they treat their employees great, they buy lunch for you on holidays if your working and they have all the tims coffee you could drink! the lunch room has a tv, computers and all the essentials for the kitchen to feel like home. They allow you to explore new areas and you constantly have the chance to learn new things.

Everyone's attitude will depend on which department they are in. While working in production is hard and boring at times the other people you work with makes the day go by easier. All departments pay more than other companies plus there is benefits and an RRSP plan. If you want to move up within the company it isn't hard to do. They always have job postings for other areas. The people that complain that they pick favorites or it's all in who you know are usually the lazy ones and complain all day long about everything. The hardest part of the job would be the hours. Most production is 60 hours a week unless you sign and say you wont do more than 48. 1 week days 1 week nights. The training for new people is lacking but the people you work with usually help you out. Management is hit and miss and it does take a while to get issues fixed.  

Just in time production facility as a bakery supply chain manufacturers for leading restaurant and food service companies in Canada. Facility needs major upgrade as some equipment are outdated or not very well maintained. Constant shutdowns due to poor maintenance. New equipment installed but poor training for staff on proper use of equipment. Lots of temporary staff and higher than normal turnover as most are contract workers. Sanitation is important but too many confusion between production lines due to lack of coordination schedules for sanitation . Production restart and shutdown. Many errors issues due to lack of production scheduled coordination.

A very pleasant experience at Aspire.

The people at all levels were very friendly and willing to answer questions/show you what to do

The hours are long but can go by quickly.

The facility is on a bus route, but the scheduled stop can leave you scrambling to be there on time which is unfortunate for the company.



management if you had a problem they took care of it for you yes they stayed in the office but if you did your job you did it right you didn't need to worry about them but if you did your job wrong they'd come out and they would work on the problem with you some people say the management is lazy I say Management's hands-off unless you need help they don't bother you they train you really well so they don't need to babysit you I enjoyed my time there I wish I never  I left and when you work a long weekend you get pizza some people might say that this place is lousy I say this was the best place I ever worked in my adult life
