This organization doesn’t care about their employees and in turn employees provide lousy care to the individuals who need it most. I would not recommend this organization for a job to any one unless you like to be belittled, disrespected and overall not cared about in anyway shape or form. The managers only care about how much overtime you can work not about your health or well being. I was told to take sick leave because quote “we need reliable workers” as I have a chronic illness and needed to leave to the hospital a couple times while on shift. I took sick leave after a long time thinking about it and that’s when they sent me a termination letter in the mail for “shift abandonment” No discussion, no decency, no respect. Nothing at all. How do you tell someone to take sick leave to get better and come back and while they do it you terminate them with no explanation. Disgusting. There’s a reason they have job listings up 365 days a year every year. Who wants to work for such a lousy organization?

The director is an absolutely amazingly talented, innovate, qualified, intelligent, fair and compassionate team leader who works side-by-side with the rest of her team of administrators / emploment specialists/ board members and clients to make certain we all achieve maximum success and satisfaction in our roles while providing the best possible client care.

All employees in this office have a passion to help and work together a cohesive team which makes going to work a pleasure. This office has a welcoming family type vibe.


Work life balance is promoted and flexibility  for standard employee issues such as medical appointments/ childcare or school closure problems etc are met with understanding and accommodated  with options such a working remotely .

Walking into a regular shift at work will always be a great feeling. Not ever had I had the feeling where I just really did not feel like going into work. The clients themselves can give you the most welcoming feeling, as can your co-workers. Working in this job has taught me how strong of a person you need to be to work in this field. It is very easy to build a relationship with a client, but it is also very easy for something unexpected to happen to that client. Also, you may have to deal with verbal or even physical abuse. You will need physical strength as well for times that you need to help a client move from point a to point b. Those can be some of the most difficult parts of the job. Either way, everything about this job is enjoyable and it makes you feel incredible about yourself.

Although my primary role was Residential Manager of one group home, the agency afforded my many opportunities to grow and learn. 
I learned how to proceed with staff recruitment, manual payroll,  build, deliver and maintain a budget, tracking and sourcing training requirements for front line staff.  Sat on sub-committees for strategic planning, union organizing, and policy development.

The upper management only cares about how much money they can make off the heads of the residents. Most times the residents are not treated fairly and when resident Managers or DSps speak up about it they are treated unfairly also

Managment is is very unprofessional, they dont follow their own rules. 
Pay is alright if you are able to handle the how unorganized the company is. 
The benefits are good.
Lots of hours to pick up but depends if you are liked. The more you are liked the more they offer to give u hours.

Worst job i have ever experienced the management is absolutely horrendous. Corrupt organization. All upper management are close friends which does not help to run a company... hiring people on drugs constantly and the people they support deserve much better than this.

Was treated terribly here was by far the worst job I’ve ever had. Managers are jealous of their staff and treat them horribly. They give out horrible references when you leave even though you left due to unsafe practices backed up by the managers. It’s like high school. 

The future looks exciting there. They are trying to change the culture there. The CEO listens to the employees. Smart lady. The staff that work in the residential housing tend to be forgotten about.

Worked there for 4 years. Overall management treats you like you're disposable, the drama is insane, if management decides they don't like you then they'll find every single reason to add to your file to fire you
