Incompetent management that bring me to the verge of tears. Did I said verge? I did cry because they didn't understand their customer and it was us on the floor that were getting screamed at and insulted for 40-42hours a week.

My coach was super sweet and I mean sweet as arsenic. Behind her happy tone, she talked about how your metrics were bads even when it was superior to the median. When you felt bad,  needed help or was very bad call, she reminded you that you need to give superb customer satisfaction and how much it was also hard for her being a corporate shill. Did she helped you? Nooooopeeeee.

Tim Horton's closed their restaurants during holidays time. Asurion? Nope there will be nobody that will call December 31st 22h but we need 10 people on the phone in case a customer calls because little Timmy peed on his new Nintendo switch.

When they need new employees/punching bags, they ask people to spam their friends inbox and promise them a bonus if they bring CV.

When they tell you this is a "help desk" position. Don't trust them, you are just a fancy customer service representative that know how to reset computer instead of doing actual troubleshooting. They cannot afford asking you to give a good service and be helpdul.

This company is a predatory one that prey on naives people and recent immigrants that don't know better. Selling them overprice "protection plan" and then deny legit claims.

Between a MLM and extra warranty company, I don't know what is worse but both of them should be out of people life. Asurion should go back to the US and leave Canadian store and people looking for job alone. Everybody would be happier.  Including the people force to sell their bad products at minimum wage in-store.

Honestly, the best job I had yet. Full time, with benefits, and good pay! Lots of room to be promoted, or even if you needed a switch from another department. As long as you're reliable and eager to work, I definitely suggest Asurion if you need a full time job. The typical day at Asurion varied on what department you're actually in, as if you're someone who likes to constantly be busy on the phone, there are departments for that, as some other departments may not be as busy. Your end goal for a call is resolving the customer's issue, making them aware of what the next step will be, and the absolute best thing you can do is give assurance and empathy to the customer! So even for the small things, or the major things, apologize for it! Feel connected to the customer for a minute, step in their shoes for a minute, and think if you were the customer, how you would want to be assisted and treated. Overall, if you want something that isn't hard work at all, and to feel honored and rewarded for working, this place definitely takes the cake. With some days, depending on the location, you can get free chips, or free cake, or free meals. The management appreciates the hard work, and tries to give to the employees as well. Contest, ballot draws, and even their own points shop to essentially get free stuff just for being there and working! They will go over growing plans with you if you desire to be promoted, as long as you work your way up. Definitely something that can be seen as a lifetime job if desired due to the amazing hours they have, and the great pay they also have.

Worked there for over two years. I was on sick leave for a good portion of that because the job literally made me want to off myself. 

Despite the fact that I had some of the best resolution stats on my team,  because I didn’t offer that ridiculous survey, I’d constantly get reprimanded. 

Because yes, 9/10 times you’re gonna be working for a team that requires an after call survey. That in itself isn’t too terrible; what’s the absolute WORST is that if you get anything but 5 stars, you get a zero, or points DOCKED. This affects the theoretical monthly bonus. 

They’ll pretend to care about you. And they make a good job of it; only one of my supervisors was actually human, and even he was suffering for it. He mentioned a few times, before and after taking some time off work, that his kids would ask him why he looked so tired and unhappy. That should give you a good idea how backwards Asurion is. 

Also, you CONSTANTLY have to lie to the customers. All the time. They can’t outright tell you to lie, but they have crafty ways of saying it. 

Anyways Asurion is Heck On Earth, the employee turnaround is absolutely ridiculous, and I for one and happy to know they’re shutting their doors.

Everyone at our site works together to make it an fun place to work. We support each other (yes we all get the "calls from hell") we make each other laugh and we all get along. If we need information on something it is found out for us. Sups will take holds off for us so we don't need to have the long hold times with CST. They are always informing us of upcoming changes and update us constantly through emails, Town Halls, and team meetings. We are fully informed at our CAD's of where we stand matrix wise, and our sups are always there to suport us if we choose to try out a different possition within the company. There are ups and downs to every job, but you have the choice to let it drag you down or you can raise above it and carry on. We have fun days where we dress up or dress down..etc. Our Directors throw us an awesome Christmas dinner on site every year, we have incentive prizes for overtime..many people make bonus at our site and it is generally a great place to work. We can go to our sup with any problem and they take care of it and our directors and C.E.O are always taking the time to come out on the call floor and hang out with us. Love Asurion Moncton!!!

They will carry on how much you mean to them and how much they care about you to your face then behind your back they will discriminate you and they will judge you . For being one of my first call center it was a horrible experience the trainer wasn't helpful and they get upset when you ask too many questions and maybe you do not understand exactly what is going on they will actually go and give feedback to other management that they felt like you were up in their face when ur on the other side if the room because you did not understand and you just wanted the information clarified. I was not there long and I do not recommend company. Very FAKE and just a JOKE of a company , fake promises . Pretty bad when the management can't handle rebuttals 😂

It is fun place each day at work, meeting new challenges when talking to customers filing insurance, having team you can always ask for help and having to work extra minutes or hour if need be. Documentation of procedural steps or approaches to solving issues is very important for future reference  for one and other co-workers. The management is kind, loving and friendly. Always interested in the development of the workers. Treat everyone equally. Workplace culture is law abiding, easy and funny.
Hardest part of the job is that nothing is hard, I am enjoying every bit of the work. The most enjoyable part is getting job done or proffering solution to a problem in a timely manner meeting the service level agreement i.e. putting a smile on a customer's face at the end of a call.

I started at Asurion in December of 2020, at first it was really nice and then company kept introducing new changes.

they merged my department with another department, my position was advertised as a help desk but in reality.. it's glorified customer service, and it worsen after the department merge.. I was filling claim all day.

It's very busy, back to back, the phone ring it never stops, it's a 100% call center experience!

There is a lot of targets every month, what matters is the customer service rather than the problem resolution.

If you are looking for a long time job or career take my advice and RUN and never look back, on the other hand if you are looking for a temporary gig or a summer job it might do the trick.

Worked there and was told that we would be dealing with a Canadian cell phone company but when we started they put us with an American company which was not ideal. My first call I got told off and cursed at. The 'nesting' period did not really happen and we were thrown on the phones to figure it out after the classroom training. Pretty much everyone in my hiring group quit and alot within the first couple weeks. There is also no pausing between calls and how long you keep someone on hold trying to resolve their issues all affect you negativity which gave me anxiety. Clearly call centers are not for me. The only good thing I have to say is there's free coffee.

It's a fun place to chill and take it easy, you won't be excited about the pay but they're very lenient and tolerant so only the clients are really stressful. Good luck getting fired, they seem to dislike the idea for some reason. Training is lacking and they tend to release you to the snake pit quite quickly. Employee retention seems pretty low, though there are some people that have been there 4 years+ too. If you're a CHD, well... enjoy getting paid $15/h to do Microsoft technician's work. They get paid twice your salary, so enjoy!

The management was hard to get along with in my opinion, and i am a very outgoing and easy to get along with type of person.I found out i was pregnant during the beginning of my working there. And due to pregnancy i ended up with severe allergic reactions to perfume.  I was then offered to work from home but before i was able to start my first at home shift i was cut loose with a letter that they could no longer accommodate me due to my allergies. To me this was bad management as being home away from scented products would have stopped my reactions and i would have been able to continue working. My manager was not understanding of my needs as an employee and i was unable to get maternity leave duento being fired.
