My typical work day is 11 hours and my typical week is Tuesday 11am until Friday 10am.

I have learned that we all have our own priorities, some are driven by the dollar and others are driven by family. 

In most cases management through out our company is thoughtful and fair. 

My co-workers are like family, that doesn't mean that I can't do my job. It means that it is easier to give honest helpful feedback in most situations.

The toughest part of my job is doing harassment investigations.

The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing a new employee own their position and seeing them become more confident.

Your week goes super fast . From time to time you might be asked to stay for  extra days , But the choice is yours , The shift 1or 2 you are in you find friends becomes like family , The rooms are clean & All the buildings , food is good respectful place , I know now the shift work is on 2 weeks rotations which gives people more time for their family . The camp site & Your Work grows on you they offer activities 2 gym for workout 1 in main building the other one is in your living corridor which gives you the opportunity to exercise. A person will have to experience for themselves for mine sites jobs opportunities wages is all about how a persons life style is and budgeting 😊 Over all for me personally the wages is excellent . 

Whether a General Kitchen Help, Salads, Third Cook, Server, Night Shift or Day Shift, Janitorial or outsourced temporarily to the other sites, the positions I had gone through in my several years with ACLP had allowed for practical and applied use of knowledge and skill in stress, pressure, intent and expectation in such a way that the job was both career and challenging as it was productive and enjoyable.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Senior management do not back there management on site at all one of the worst support for there managers that I have ever seen or worked with.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of support and not actually speaking with there leaders on site or communicating at all.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic with no on site support and lack of communication.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy , working with unqualified employees who should not be in the positions that are required and total lack of professionalism.

I worked here for 2 years and I started as a Sanitizer and I started in the kitchen after covid was over.
Working here was great the only reason I left was I wasn't getting any benefits and I got offered full-time position in the new year in 2023 but by the time I got it I was looking for a new job and I got the call right after I got the full-time position. 
Sorry but it took too long for someone to get the benefits and not getting any younger. 
Good place to work but will not return to ribbit lake even if they offered me more money. 

i work 11 hrs days and supervise 7-9 staff (housing and kitchen) i perform numerious daily tasks ie: mandays, emails, payroll, commissary etc...I've learned to work under pressure and meet deadlines and fluctuate staff with increasing and decreasing camp numbers - the hardest part is being away from my family and working the extra days on top of the 14 days work, the over-all enjoyable part is the great staff and ppl here at work!

Be ready for absolutely anything to happen or change on a day to day basis, because it will! Middle/upper management do what they can, i feel, to come to the help or aid of the staff. The work cultures vary from mp to camp, depending on who they may have in that particular management structure. With the proper training, anything can be achieved

The only con is they only hire one type of Native American people. 
I thought this job helped any aboriginals with jobs but nope
Management and the staff were rude to people who were not apart of a certain type of native or even native
talking and laughing at people in your native tongue is rude when you are deliberately trying to make people feel left out.

The end of a long work day....

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Gossip, lateral violence, not being heard.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment was ok...

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Time went by fast ams as lomg as you keep to yourself, you avoid certain things.

I enjoyed working there. Just not being away for two weeks at a time. The pay was great and the staff were helpful.  Great teamwork. Flights there and back weren't always perfect but I got to work every shift
