What is the best part of working at the company?
It's great for independent people who like people. Their products are very good so I would use and recommend because they could see the proof for themselves. They have brochures or you could do online. Free beauty courses included. Downside was to return products were a cost to me. These customer contacts sometimes led to other opportunities or information because when you deliver to their home it's a community and you can learn a lot from just enjoying and talking to people from all walks of life. I have done this twice as my life circumstances changed and you can always go back. For the first orders you get a big discount incentive to grow your business as you get new customers. The first orders they might still give free brochures you can distribute to friends, family etc. There is something for everyone in the new AVON for children, men, household, fashion and a clearance section. They also supply your own personal email so when people visit the site it goes straight to you. Hope this helped.

With Avon I was able to make my own hours which made life very easy. I am a student therefore it is a great job to have on the side and carry with me where ever I go. I learned how to be an entrepreneur, a sales associate, a team member and a hard worker. Avon management is a little bit different than regular companies because they are an independent representative type of business. However I felt very supported by my district sales manager, and was always encouraged to keep up the hard work. My co-workers varied depending on their passion for the job. I like working with a team and helping others out, but often it is difficult to work with someone who is not as passionate as you are. The hardest part of working for Avon is that it is a lot of driving in order to deliver orders, set up and go to meetings, and attend seminars, ect. The most enjoyable part of selling Avon is the look on my customers face when I deliver their orders and how easy it is to get excited about working for Avon.

A typical day working with Avon includes contacting existing customers, and hunting for new leads, processing orders, and making certain that your current invoices are up to date. Customer refunds are processed, and all complaints and questions are answered by the sales rep.
I learned a great deal about time and self management, as well as skin care and assorted other products that the company sells.
While there is a management team in place, the individual reps are expected to manage themselves. This is not a job that includes co-workers.
The hardest part of the job is diffusing angry customers who did not receive a product they had ordered, either due to a back log on the item, or the item advertised being discontinued. At this time, it's easy for a rep to take the full blame for a situation that is out of her control. In order to keep in the customer's good graces, a number of solutions and sacrifices must be made on the part of the rep, with no compensation from the company.
The most enjoyable part of the job, is seeing customer satisfaction. Knowing that you've helped a customer find a product they love is very, very rewarding.

Prospecting, Recruiting, Developing and Promoting thru the various leadership funnels offered in the Avon Earning Opportunity. I learned how to establish challenging goals for myself as well as my sales team that are designed to achieve exceptional business results. Management is left up to me, with monthly Workshops lead by my Divisional manager who was very supportive and knowledgeable. My co-workers are from all walks of life and all types of employment backgrounds. I enjoyed being a part of their personal growth and career journeys. The hardest part of the job was the lack of training for District Sales Managers, it was literally conducted on the move; as things were brought up, I was trained. There was no process to follow aside from recruiting and working with the existing sales base. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with Independent Sales Representatives, they welcomed me with open arms and treated me like I was an extension of their families. It will be hard to leave them once my contract is over.

On an average day, I brought in my own clientele, and provided the best customer service possible. I let my customers know of any promotions, new products, and how they can place their orders. I learned that in order to be the best, you have to do your best! You have to set reasonable goals for yourself, and come up with a plan in order to meet these goals. The management team was great. I was able to keep in contact with the Sales Leaders if any problems were to arise. They were very helpful and patient, and helped me in any way they could to help me be more successful as a sales representative. The hardest part of my job was contacting the corporate office with delivery issues I was having. I had a couple incidences where  had to return products, and it was difficult to contact the people in charge of local deliveries to pick up these orders. The most enjoyable part of my job I would say, is the overall feedback I got from both my manager, and my customers! They were the ones who made it possible to further my career and be successful working with Avon Canada.

As a Customer Sales Work at Home-Self employed from 1989 to 2013.  Rep-Selling Door to door or by referrals. Avons orders were processed every 2 weeks; Products & company owned by Avon Canada-Montreal QC; Canada. 

One of the world's largest Wholesale direct distributors-representing Brand name products, clothes,  jewellery, house hold products, etc. 

My salary depended on how many customer sales-in a given 2 week period-as orders were due.  Shipments came within 1 week. 

Most of the sales I collected at the door or cash on delivery, some by credit card or approved personal cheques.  Now most of Avon business is on Line www.avon.ca 

Great people managers to work with; lots of gifts, prizes for just attending meetings, or for good Sales achievements!

I left as I got a demanding Customer Service position-

Typically, I check my email first thing in the morning to see if there are any customer orders to be submitted.  Then I make calls to any clients I have deliveries for and arrange to deliver or I leave a message so they can call me at their earliest convenience.

My least favorite part of the job is trying to get ahold of customers to arrange delivery of their orders.  A lot of them have the belief that if they're not in a hurry for it, it can wait so they won't call back.  They don't realize that when I submit their order to Avon Canada, I am expected to pay the bill a week later.  That means if I don't collect from the customer, the payment comes out of my pocket until they decide to call me back.  That isn't always easy to do.

I love that I can start my day when I am ready or delay it and even take a day off now and then if I have an appointment and it doesn't affect anyone but me.  I work around my daily life

Team lead spend most of his time calling me names like "Annoying" and "hateful" even though I never spoke to any coworkers on the floor.
Management is never available when you need them. Neither is the help desk. 
you're not allowed to use the washroom outside of your break times for more than 10 minutes a week. But you're also not allowed a day off if you're sick. 

they make it impossible to feel safe and the team leads often just appear over your shoulder with no warning. 

Their overall scoring basis is ridiculous and is the exact opposite of what your trainer teaches you. 

the salary is very low and you are forced to overtime every night because they are unable to keep enough employees on the floor.
High turnover, not necessarily firings, but most agents quit two days after training ends and they go on the floor. 

Becoming a Sales Representative with Avon Canada has been an amazing experience, and my confidence in sales and leadership continues to grow. During each year I have been with Avon Canada, I have met or exceeded my sales targets, promoted up the Leadership ladder, and experienced great personal growth. 
I have met the sales targets in order to become a President's Club Member each year of my business, and I look forward to continuing this tradition in the future.
I currently have a team of 14 sales representatives, and continue self-promotion, sales opportunities, and online sales presence in order to maintain and grow this team. 
There is great opportunity with Avon Canada for those forward-thinkers and those not afraid of hard work and commitment.

Paid for 40 hours per week but usually worked about  80. I was a District Manager who continuously met and usually exceeded KPI's. Unfortunately management is well known for their derogatory insinuations and intimidation. You were always only as good as your last campaign and they made sure you knew that. 
A very secretive culture where people went behind your back and managers were not respected.
All that being said, the company vehicle and gas card were wonderful perks and most of the people-excluding top management-were fun to work with.
I certainly learned a lot about leadership and coaching.
As stated, the hardest part of the job was dealing people who refused to take any responsibility for any failures of the company and refused to listen to those on the front lines.
