typical day at work involves a pre work meeting about what we have to get started with and how the day is going to go as far as what tasks need to be done right away and who is going to do said tasks. you have to learn quickly i have learned about road grading, excavation, working with machines and operators as well as operation of some equipment like rollers, packers and skidsteers. Most days the hours are long and the weather is less than great. I dont car for the super long days and the inconsistant work schedule but it is nice being outside and working with good people and provides a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day when you see what you have finished.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Honestly I enjoyed working with most of the guys. Decent folk.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Trying to find the jobsites sometimes.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It varies, from day to day. The boys were great to work with

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Up early drive to the jobsite, and work long hours.

I’ve had the chance to learn a lot thanks to such an experienced and supportive team. The culture is very family oriented, and everyone treats each other with respect. The company also organizes regular events where families are welcomed and included.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Cant think of one....nothing comes to mind 


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Understanding people major language issues 


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not bad most of the people there are good to work with

i used to have passion for what i do but new managment has wrecked it for me and all the others making you feel like you 
dont know what your doing and they allow machines to get so far behind on repairs that once you get to it there are way bigger problems

Management is poor, unless they like you you're likely to be pigeon hole'd but even if they do you're very likey to be working into the ground with no more than a $5 gift card for Tim Hortons. wouldnt recommend. 

Horrible superintendents, Lots of weird employees, they fired you without cause once they get the work out of you. Lazy foreman’s, make other co-workers be there puppets. I Would Not Recommend this company to anyone who wants to work in the construction industry. 

A typical day involved  a lot of shoveling .
Learned how to work really hard in the hot sun all day.
This kind of labour job is good, but hard on the body. 
I do enjoy working hard . It gives you a sense of accomplishment

Working at BA blacktop is a good experience. Management is helpful, cooperative & professional people. 
Learn lots of new accounting strategies.
We have a snack day in a month in which we all colleagues participate & get time to talk to each other.

I worked on the powell street overpass project from beginning to end and learnt a lot about road construction . Working safely around machinery I enjoyed every aspect of the job
