BARBIES RESTO BAR GRILL

A typical work day at Barbies was easy to come by because most of the customers are regulars. It is a regular waitress/hostess/barmaid/busboy kind of job, when you arrive for your shift you begin your tasks at once. As a waitress, you'd make sure your section was ready for the customers. As a hostess you'd check the reservations and make arrangements regarding them. As a barmaid, you'd clean the station, organize the condiments, and prep water, ect for your nights work. And, finally, as a busboy you'd begin by cleaning the washrooms, clearing out the plate bins and then clean the tables. I learned many skills at Barbies, more than just organization and time management, but how to deal with bosses, coworkers and impolite customers. However, the coworkers at Barbies really made it an enjoyable work environment and the management was also really nice. They offer flexible hours to their students and honestly are a great first job.

Was a good place to work, and I advanced quickly from busboy to runner to waiter, however one of the managers thinks vastly too highly of himself and as such is rude to staff. The owner is nice, but sometimes very stressful to work with. One manager was very nice and helpful when issues were brought up, and coworkers were all I could have asked for. However completely ruined by that one aforementioned manager, making fun of health issues etc.

My coworkers were really fun to talk to but some of them are just really negative like its a punishment that their working there. The hardest thing for me was the rush we had to deal with. Example, when there's a reservation of 20 people, we all know its going to be very busy that day.

Fast pasted restaurant that takes pride in customer service.  Train employees to the maximum of there abilities and groom them for advancement . 
  Barbies is a franchise but is more like a family , every restaurant works together to grow and better the franchise name .

Tips were great...had many regular people who ask to sit i my section...l di breakfast lunch dinner..reason for leaving not enough hours...coworker's were greater to work with.

Serving costumer and making sure they are all satisfied
great and motivated management 
young and fun staff
need to be hard worker but the money will be there
wonderful environment to work in

Don’t go there and save your time!


 It’s a total waste of energy and time. 

The managemnt is not really good and not trained enough. 

You don’t know why one day suddenly you don’t have your job there anymore.

A big percentage of the tips the waiters make goes to the pay of the managers. 
Waiters are underpaid for the job they do, and every little occasion to cut from their salary is taken by the managers.

it was fun to work at Barbies because the environment was very fun. My co-workers were very fond and kind. My boss was very sociable and very nice person.

it showed me how to work in a rapid environment.
i had the chance to network with all kinds of people and i learnt how to react to different situation in a fast pace
