i was on day shift crew when i first started and then i really wanted to work night shift, finally the boss asked who wanted to transfer to nights and i was the only one that went but down the road 2 more people had no choice to go to night shift. i learned alot getting material ready for the carpenters. the management was good and workplace was awesome. worked with a lot of different origins. the hardest part of the job was not having the right material on site which we had to go look for around the site. the most thing i liked was working 21 days in and 7 days off plus the overtime. we usually worked 10 hours a regular shift but i worked 11 or 12 hour shifts.

I have a great team who understands safety comes first. Typical day is very busy so you need to be flexible, training requirements change all the time. I have learned to deal with many cultures. The Management is good as they give you the freedom to expand on the training programs. Hardest part of the job is letting people go who do not meet site requirements. I get great joy when I have a positive impact on employees through engagement. Enhancing an employees skills is very gratifying.

Electrical General Forman, contruction&  maintenance.  Free run to plan &  execute tasks.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
None met every schedule  concrete pour, and every completion date!

Great! Electrical superintendant was great to get along with. It

Good, go to work, plan daily tasks,  safety meeting with crews, stretching  exercises with  crews, go over job tasks,  go to work.

Paid travel and accommodation where the best I've had , food was great and people were friendly

Being away from home , the company itself was well organized

Positive and helpful, lots of information available and safety was priority

Carpenter work , forms and climbing towers for landing larger soffit for shaping the draft tubes

Overworked, abused, ripped off at every opportunity

Excellent worksite, great community and working staff / management. I learned a lot from colleagues and other staff at the site. 
After-hours activities kept me busy and in shape (including theatre and organized sports, exercise classes, games rooms and more) 
topnotch room amenities, including single occupancy rooms with tv and flushing toilet / showers.
great dining hall and nice food.

Working on the keeyask project has given me experience in working on large projects with a tightly knit team. During my time here the team is expected to complete quality control on various soils and concrete. With a keen eye for detail and my experience in the field I help lead my fellow junior materials technians in the daily required tasks.

I worked with BBE for a brief period. This is hands down the worst company I have ever worked for. The culture is terrible, there is lack of safety, and compared to most construction jobs the pay is marginal. Stay away. It's not worth it.

One of the most unorganized places I have ever worked, management has no knowledge of tasks, if you aren't in a clique you get nowhere, job security isn't based on performance but on who your friends are on th management team, Foreman's will cut your throat if you can operate a piece of equipment better than they can, toxic work environment when dealing with management

The work had its difficulties but was overall easy, the guys I worked with were awesome. However management left a lot to be desired. Little to no communication at times, zero consistency, constant job uncertainty and some members of management seem to have no idea what proper execution of their job entailed.
