BISON FIRE PROTECTION

 Finger-pointing, drama, and disorganization abound.   Thrown into job with no proper training. 
Shipping manager as well as Suppression supervisor & Controller are helpful and care.  A few girls in the Head office are helpful. All other management are in a state of disarray with poor communication, no leadership, etc ad infinitum and apparently has been this way for a very long time without change.   Management refuses to do anything about passive aggressive technicians who yell, slam doors, throw tantrums, quit & then return to work, refuse to follow processes, take unauthorized time off, and hold company hostage. 

Gave them 3 months of my life and resigned due to all of the above.  I've worked in many offices over the years - this was awful - management needs to be replaced.   
Practically every employee feels overwhelmed because they cannot keep good staff.

often rely on the guys on the ground just to get the job done , even though the task my not be in your scope of work they just want it done shortest quickest way possible so they can send the bill. watch out here ppl, seen this before. any “manager “here should have there skills re-evaluated and they should be looking for a new job on indeed.

 no work experience relatable to the industry within the office other then the person on the job doing it. STAY AWAY if you care about your self worth. tried to make it aslong as i could before i had to put my sanity first. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Company truck, company phone, travelling around the province, independent work. Niche industry. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management with no leadership skills, no safety thought process, last minute scheduling, disfunctional team, broken promises, no clear path, poor planning, not enough technicians. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, passive aggressive, secretive, clicky

Drama and backstabbing all day long.  No guarantee of a raise even to match inflation.  Hardly ever promote from within, management would rather steal supervisors from other companies.  Morale just horrible, constant turnover. 

Expensive health insurance available.  No sick days more than legally required, so everyone is sick all the time.

Typical day at work starts 8 am and as a relatively new employee have lots of support for the learning process. Management very supportive. In office stuff friendly and helpful.
Meeting new employees and new customers always enjoyable part of my job, however this is the hardest part. 
 


Was let go because I had a family emergency and couldn’t go to work for a day, very boring place to work, the training wasn’t that great, my supervisor seemed annoyed all the time when I needed help or needed him to repeat something I didn’t hear or understand 

Management/Supervisors are very knowledgeable. Very happy to help with any questions. They all have a sense of pride, and are actively making improvements in all aspects of the business. I would recommend them to anyone.

-expected to do a lot more then pays worth, -micromanaged to the extreme
-high school drama 
- constant expected travel
- big turnover rate of employees and not management….

Been with a company for long time, all benefits include pension and personal time of. Great team, very professional.  Technicians well trained by manufacturer.
