I’ve had the opportunity to work at Bank of Communications for the past six months, and it’s been a rewarding experience, particularly thanks to the exceptional management team. In this relatively short time, it’s clear that leadership here is dedicated to fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Supportive and Approachable Leadership:
The management team is incredibly approachable and always willing to listen to feedback. Whether it’s seeking advice or sharing ideas, the leadership creates a welcoming atmosphere where communication flows freely. This transparency makes me feel like my opinions and contributions matter.

Clear Vision and Strong Direction:
Even in my first few months, I’ve noticed that management provides clear guidance and has a strong vision for the future of the bank. Goals are communicated effectively, and the leadership team ensures that everyone understands how their work contributes to the bank’s broader mission. This sense of purpose has made my work feel more meaningful.

Focus on Employee Growth:
What really stands out is how much management values professional development. In just six months, I've already been given opportunities for training and learning, which have helped me build new skills. It's clear that leadership is committed to helping employees grow and advance in their careers.

Recognition and Support:
I appreciate how management takes the time to recognize hard work and celebrate achievements, no matter how big or small. This recognition boosts morale and encourages a sense of accomplishment. I also feel supported in balancing my work with my personal life, thanks to the flexibility and understanding shown by leadership.

Work-Life Balance:
In addition to professional development, the management team at Bank of Communications is very supportive of work-life balance. Flexible scheduling options and wellness programs are just some of the ways they show they care about employees’ well-being, which is something I really value.

In summary, the Bank of Communications has been an excellent place to work, thanks to its thoughtful, effective management. Even in the first six months, I've seen a clear commitment to employee growth, open communication, and a positive work culture. I’m excited to continue my career here and look forward to the opportunities ahead!

- Micromanagement by the hour. 
- Lack of training employees - online training program is ancient/ terminology inaccurate. 
- Lack of employees / constant turn around including 
- Lack of guidance from management 
- BMW FS does not actually offer tuition reimbursement or language courses -Complete hoax
- BMW FS does not care about their employees / the philosophy is either you're approved by all or none. 
- Treated as a replaceable item - No sense of security. 
- Management is not tentative to conflict between colleagues. - Often takes sides with the more tenured 
- You’re responsible for several duties outside of your contract
- Colleagues are constantly attempting to derail your success. 
- There is no support around growth
- Colleagues take advantage of contract employees / take ownership for their work/ideas. 
- Management focuses on favouritism over productivity and results. 
- If you're relationship with one individual is subpar most of your colleagues will choose sides and bury you. 
- Management will lie to your face and stab you in the back. 
- Way too much politics
- Forced to work extremely late nights / there is no value in overtime - Overtime is expected to prove your devotion to the company
- Forget working from home even though they advocate for such luxury during the interviews. 
- No work-life balance / forget having kids they will be your demise. 
- Taking vacation or sick days are frowned upon.
- Salary is subpar to their competitors / year end bonus is an awful joke. 
- They will mistreat and abuse their power/threaten you if not in their best interest. 
- Lack of organization 
- Many other area of concern with this employer 
- Overall most of these employees slack in their roles, do not take ownership for their actions and play the blame game on the new hires to get out of a bad situation. 
- MOST OF ALL SHADY PEOPLE. (Don’t get me wrong there are good people at BMW CANADA just hard to come by)

Note: You'll walk into your position depending on management with a target on your back. There is no trust and constant dishonesty - trust your instincts.

I enjoyed my time at BMW Toronto, it was unfortunate that I could not work there any longer.

For the position I was doing, it was under paid, with no chance of over time, which majority of the time you ended up doing because apparently "Nature of the business". Furthermore, General Managers felt like dragons breathing down your neck every time they walked pass. Not friendly.

My Sales managers (2/3), were epic. These guys were willing to go above and beyond to ensure operations and people are OK. Very friendly and respectable guys. The other manager not so much.

The people overall in the dealership were great. Fun, outgoing and excellent to work with. Some people are definitely masters at what they do and they do it with care. 

You can't really complain in my position, you're driving very nice BMW's pretty much all day.

The hardest part of the job? Probably making sure that your vehicle delivery is ready and everything is prepped. The cross departmental communication sucks. It is a broken telephone, literally. Systems are constantly down and no one really cares in the service department because they're unionized. 

I wouldn't recommend a friend working here.

BMW was a great work environment. The people and atmosphere was fun and exciting. A typical day included being the first person of contact to schedule and book appointments, handling reception duties by filing and organizing work, managing the fleet of loaner vehicles as well as gathering customer information for the process. This work environment taught me how to prioritize my time as well as handling many jobs all at once. The management was good, great supervision and people to work with as leaders. This was a very diverse and cultured work environment which made everyday more interesting. The hardest part of the job was dealing with the unsatisfied customers, some who seemed impossible to deal with but this was only a pro in the end because it helped build my skill set when it came to difficult situations and how to professionally resolve them. The most enjoyable part of this job was getting to be apart of a team with great individuals and personalities. I can't forget about donut Fridays every Friday!

Working at BMW Victoria is fast-paced and dynamic, with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork. I've gained valuable experience while working for BMW over the past few months, enhancing my customer relations and problem-solving skills. Management is supportive and encourages growth. The workplace culture is professional and team-oriented, making it an engaging environment. One of the most challenging aspects of working at a fast-paced dealership like BMW is managing high customer expectations while juggling multiple tasks. Overall, it’s a great place for those who thrive in a fast-paced setting.

I had applied for an advancement from the Washbay position into an open service advisor role. The sales manager promised me the role if we did not hire from the outside. He later promoted someone else from the washbay into the position I was promised even though he clearly could not handle the stress. I however was placed on shuttle which I did not mind. The other employee was bumped back down as expected but they put him in my new role as shuttle driver and placed me back in the washbay. They later put the receptionist in the service role. I was not impressed and eventually left, seeing no opportunity for advancement and wanting to return to post-secondary studies.

A Typical workday at BMW Toronto would be that Id arrive, ready to work for promptly 9am. Being ready for work consists of being logged into the company computer, along with table telephone and company email server. Once logged in I am ready to commence sitting at attention for incoming calls from customers. Usually it was busiest during the morning hours. The management was always very cheerful and welcoming to help during times of need. The coworkers were equally as helpful and professional as it was a small work environment in which i enjoyed very much. The hardest part of the job would be balancing my work and personal life schedule as the work schedule consisted of long hours. For the most part I enjoyed my time at BMW Toronto.

I think this company one can grow with it. One can build ones future at this company.MBW production is evident all over the country as a result I am eager to be part of this company.One would like to emulate the visible employees of this company.The employees and their production differ from others  seriously.The company is producing beautiful brand each year . The brands are good from motor bikes to sedan models.I would like to associate myself with this company and work hard to find myself at the high levels in this company.

I would say the best part is the staff I work with (although there are always exceptions). The managers are the most helpful I've ever worked with although they can be a little slow with discipline of employees clearly not doing their jobs. My hours in accounting are easy - once they hired more help I was put on salary and working late hasn't been an issue since. I I have to say the pay sucks and that's why I'm looking to leave. Also, my position does not allow for a lot of movement but many other positions here do (ie sales porter). Overall, a good place to work and I'm sorry to have to leave.

That is what the BMW Group is all about. This was my start to the automotive industry and I owe them everything.

I don't think there was anyone else more excited to work at BMW Canada then me as a contractor. I didn't care at the start, I was just happy to have the opportunity.

Shortly after, when they were ready to take me into full time, they made it really special. The company is special and so is the Culture.

I can go on and on, I really can!

All I can say is good luck to individuals who seek employment there just like all automotive manufactures.
