A small manufacture of speciality meats and also a small food-broker of speciality bakery products.

Working both the Retail and Foodservice segments of the industry required two different approaches when promoting/selling products.

Successful in achieving sales growth year after with both the manufactured products and the brokerage side of the business.

Launched the "Two-Bite Brownie" in Atlantic Canada and strategically promoted the multi-buy (2 for $5.00) for the first time in the bakery departments.  Which now are an everyday retail strategy at major grocery chains.

-Disorganized management and a lack of wanting to improve means you'll be the company's b*tch, but so will everyone else. Nobody really has any titles, and the ones they do have are meaningless. Everybody does everything, and you go into work having no idea what you'll be doing or who's mess you're going to be cleaning up. I spent about 20% of my time employed here actually doing what I was hired to do, the rest was other duties that they don't want to specifically hire and train a single person to do.

My day at work mostly consisted of working on a production line where we made pizza for Air Canada. I assembled pizza by hand or made airline meals or sandwiches. Some of my co-workers are my friends today. The best part of the job was the camaraderie, the worst part were the cold.

It is medium.good place to work. There is to.much work.to do just go go neverending work. Working conditions are very difficult. Physically very have job and to.much cold environment. I was nit so happy to work there. Not well organized. 

Unorganized management that makes the hard working employees do all the jobs that the lazy ones won't. The pay raise each year doesn't even cover for inflation and the health benefits are garbage for a place that is unionized.

It’s a good job for everyone the only bad thing is the coldness inside and standing for long periods of time but I’m used to it. Overall it’s a good place to work if you don’t mind the cold, standing for hours and the employees.

Bonte foods was an all-around great place to work. The management was superb, the hours were fantastic (5:30am - 2:30pm), and the job in and of itself was pretty simple but also fast paced.

Fun environment, people are fun and time goes by fast. The company promotes rotation, you are unlikely to stay in the same place, this is good because there are places that are a little harder than others, so you don't get so tired

I would recommend this company. It's fast face, on your feet for a long period of time but the the management are great. They care about their employees. 

There is a strong sence of family like reliabilty in the union. Proving yourself to the company during the probationary period, is stress free and has good training given.
